I look at it this way. For a game like this to score a 10/10 game, you need to have superb multiplayer and superb story mode. A fighting game needs a good story as much as a racing game needs a good story. I can understand the need for an online mode though, even if I would never play it myself.

Bitching for the lack of online play in Virtua Fighter would be somethig you would espect from a noob to the series or a casual gamer, and is just retarded to pay any attention to the noobs, having said that im am soooooo pissed off for the lack of the Virtua Fighter Terminal, its just retarded not to include it, yes, i dont want to play online if it ruins the experience but i do want to download tournamets, replays for the best players, and new items, if anyone of u have played VF5 in arcade you know thats the whole point of VF5, shit tha lack of the terminal really pisses me off

It could be added later via PSN and i guess it will because i full expect Terminal to be a feature of the 360 version.

I wish I could relate to what you two are talking about. Sadly, Canada really doesn' t offer much as far as arcades go and therefore no VF machines. It' s really a sore point for me, as some of my fondest memories as a child are playing in those dingy, tiny, smoke filled holes in the wall(of course there were some big ones, but they didn' t have the same feel). I played so much Golden Axe and Dungeons and Dragons that if I had invested it, I would have a large down payment on a brand new car. I still remember this guy that worked at 5 or 6 different arcades over the years. He was like a slightly pudgy, ugglier version of John Travolta in Greese. He had the shirt and tight jeans, smoke constantly, had greesed hair which he constantly combed, and even walked the same way. He never changed in 7 years. Whenever the arcade he worked at closed, he always ended up at another one. Which usually happened to be the one I frequented since when mine got shut down, I had to find a new one.

It' s true, Canada is pretty lame when it comes with Arcades. I know Vancouver and most likely Toronto are exceptions but that' s a sad average if only two cities in the country are decent for arcades. The only place you' ll find arcades here is at the movies or theme parks. Like you said they used to be much more common, and people would play with strangers all the time.

I dont think Minnesota has anymore standalone arcades. There' s a few in malls here and there but even then some of those have now vanished. Oddly enough the better arcades now reside in movie theatres. There is but one exception to all of this in Minnesota that Ive spotted so far and thats Brunswick Zone. It certainly stands out being that its in right on the edge of a very shady part of town. It' s like the last glimmer of light before you run into street gangs and drug dealers... Anyhow, I would have at the very least preferred some time of online ranking system for this game. Even still withouth any really variety to the game I find it hard to sit alone and play with myself these days...[:' (]

I' d rather have online play simply because when you' re out in the sticks, you can get to your local arcade or hangout to complete against players in person. Plus alot of players don' t have time to go out and rather have a 30 min game on something. ------- xleague.tv
