Hopefully the damn thing will work on a Japanese PS3 if it' s just some sort of PAL vs. NTSC related issue

i think not my ps3 is a HK version
its unfair for sony to locking the demos for each region from the moment
that the same games r region free

I think nitro posted the reason, they placed NTSC video in the demo, which can only be run on a NSTC PS3, that would mean one made for the north american continent

According to Sony or ND there is a demo coming to eurpoe on the 22nd. the demo didn' t work due to a bug, it will also not work on japanese models apparently.

It went up yesterday and i was at my girlfriends last night and at work all day today.

Anyway, it downloaded really quickly and it works.

I' ll post proper impressions tomorrow but the question as to whether PS3 could handle Gears-like texture quality has been answered. It can, and it does. This game is gorgeous.

Indeed it is! Just completed the demo and what a friggin gorgeous game! I can only hope what we' ve seen in the demo is just the tip of the iceberg as far as graphics go :D.. I absolutely love the platforming aspects of the game!

Cheers for that info Nitro i would have ended up waiting another 2 weeks for it which i wasn' t really prepared to do.

The game is so fluid thats one thing i really liked about it. The mixture of superb gunplay and platforming has me sold.

Music is ace aswell.

I that that was probably about you saying that MotorStorm showed a technical gap between the two consoles

PS3 can do great textures, but it' s just more difficult to achieve it. Naughty Dog has obviously found a way to texture stream for entire scenes and it looks amazing. I' d stop short of saying its the nicest console game i' ve seen but if it isn' t it comes damn close. Because of the different graphical styles, choosing between Gears and Uncharted is tricky. Uncharted definitely has comparable textures, better animations and better lighting, but Gears still has better particle effects and character models.

The only issue i have with the Uncharted demo is the AI.

oh man, downloads now download when you play games!

I was playing cod4 and was surprized to see uncharted was at 70% when I got back to the xmb. Firmware 2.0 is cool, this and the now transparent gray [signed in/signed out] box are great... thank god you could turn that horrid orange ingo box off though..

The only issue i have with the Uncharted demo is the AI.

Why whats wrong with the AI?...... i found them to be quite good.
