UK DS Date and price
-
Jan 27, 2005 15:34
Woo, for all you UK peeps the Nintendo DS is due to hit our island on the 11th March priced at £100. Games will be roughly £30 and I think a DS console will come with a demo of Metroid Prime: Hunters. My birthday is in march so fingers crossed I can wrangle one for the day with the Mario 64x4 and Project Rub

Or you could import. Have it two months earlier and spend less on it.

Is 100 pounds (sorry, american keyboard, no symbol) a good price? I' m from Canada, and that translates to about $235. We have it here for$189-$199.

i keep debating if i want to get one of these..........because i was really stoked to get a game boy advance and eventually got one, but i only used it for about 2 weeks and have zero desire to pick it up again (which is another game for me to add to the unfinished games list)....

Videos of Mario Kart DS and Castlevaina DS - petty much the only acceptable quality videos of these, anywhere, up on the site. Also -- download Iwata' s speech. Plus - hot photos of Girls Aloud at the after party. COOLNESS!

£100 is roughly $US:50, so yes... thats a good price for a new handheld console.

Thanks Paul. Although, i kind of think that it sucks that you guys get hosed on the price. It' s not that bad, but that' s still 50 bucks more than Americans have to pay after the exchange, and roughly the same for Canadians. Not sure about the Japanese laungh price, but I believe it was somewhere equivalent to 90 pounds.

I think a rough estimation was Europe and Australia (the other Pal country) were getting the DS for £80. While £20 isn' t a lot it' s a price that could have done with not being added on. The depressing thing is in a few months after launch it' ll probably go down to about £80 second hand.
