No, they appear to be static 2D, but to be quite honest i don' t really care either way. I have tremendous respect for Itagaki and his team and i have no doubts about the game whatsoever.

The temple guardian boss fight looks amazing. It' s insane how many times they can use the same game (NG/NGB/NGS/NGDS - discounting the original game)
