Okay, (most) of those screenshots in the background simply CAN' T be the DS version.
The article mentions the PSP. I' m guessing most of the shots are from there =/
Face it, the DS could never have a really good 3D action title...at least one that doesn' t look it' s from the early Playstation era.
He mentions that the ability to use the stylus is what made him decide to develop the game for DS and not PSP. That' s the only time PSP is mentioned.
The screens are DS, and they' re an odd shaped because the game will be played like Brain Training; holding it like a book.
The game will be isometric 2.5D and will play using just the stylus, and the only buttons used are to block.
You guide Hayabusa with the stylus, launch enemies into the air y slashing up/down, tap twice to jump, tap enemies to throw shurikens at them, and perform Ninpo actions by drawing the shapes onscreen.
The right screen (bottom) will act as the main display and the left (top) used for maps and item/weapon/Ninpo selection.
The game starts with you controlling someone else; a female Ninja. You play as her through the tutorial sequence and then again later in the game.
Itagaki said that the game will be 100% pure action.
Should be awesome.
