New Tomonobu Itagaki interview
-
Sep 30, 2006 16:39
He has his glasses off...... Just kidding. Well, for anyone that was pissed at him for handing one of his franchises out. So Sigma is being made by someone else, and Itagaki is working on Ninja Gaiden 2 straight after DOAX2. The interview is interesting, as underneath all the lines, he doesn' t really rule out a PS3 version of Ninja Gaiden 2, in some ways he almost indirectly confirms a possibility. Make of the interview what you will. If he' s not working on Sigma, does that mean that we may not see some of the cool looking moves in Sigma translated over to NG2? I really want the water surface moves, because it makes him look like a proper Ninja, and was really the only difference for me.

Hahahahaha! I' m laughing because Phyre posted about Ninja Gaiden Sigma yesterday and obviously didn' t read the interview meaning he' ll have to update the piece with the confirmed information. Thanks Tiz, it' s good to know he' s moving straight onto NG2, and we always knew a PS2 version was almost certain to happen, the only questions are whether it' s day and date with the 360 version, and what platforms Code Chronus, Project progressive and DoA5 are going to.

Don' expect Gamespot to announce NG2 until 2007. Btw thanks TIZ for the news/video.

What the hell is Ninja Gaiden Sigma? Is that like Ninja Gaiden Lite or something? Also I' ve always wondered if Itagaki' s face caught on fire sometime in the past... it looks like it has been melted or something. I bet he has a heck of a lazy eye and that' s why he always wears sunglasses. I am not surprised at all that he smokes. I always figured him for a fool. " My next game is exactly what everyone is expecting" . Apparently that means no new original games anytime soon... only sequels.

He should make Ninja Gaiden 4 instead of Ninja Gaiden 2. Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3 already came out on the NES. Those are has-been games. With our short attention spans we need something new, not something ancient.

No, he should begin work immediately on the nude patch for DOA 4, DOA: Extreme 2, and Ninja Gaiden (just Ayane and Rachel, of course). ...and, yes, I' m a perv. I like my pixelated breasts!!

Joe you never cease to make me laugh! The interview was quite good. I think Itagaki is like the Schwarzenegger (the actor, not politician) of the game world. Some people love him, some people hate him. He tends to stick with one thing and he does it really well. Once he' s found his place he' ll tend to stay there and perfect it rather than try many different things. I' m a big fan of Schwarzenegger and Itagaki

i dunno this guy seems a bit full of himself... cool interview, and regardless i found him interesting. Didn' t know that sigma was handeled by a different guy before this video. I hope he does well for all the people who haven' t played it, but also brings something great for people who have... and a budget price
