Well, 9 days after my launch unit died i have recieved my replacement. If i discount the two days it took to get around to sending the machine and then Sunday, 6 for them to get a replacement unit to me is pretty damn good.

I now have 2 Xbox 360' s...

It' s really really weird seeing a white 360 again, I' m used to my green one by now.

I thought it was a new unit but after checking the manufacture date it appears to be the same bloody console. They haven' t fixed it. Why didn' t they just send a new one? I have to send it back again!

Sorry about the 360 debacle bud. That' s definately not good. However, it gives you an opportunity to write down your machines serial number so they can' t BS you a third time with the same unit.

I know you don' t know me from adam, however yours is not an uncommon story, M$ are supposed to be shipping out refurbed units and not brand spanking new ones. However why they sent your original one is a new wrinkle on the story. One quick question though, why do you have 2 of the beasts?

everyone I personally know who has gotten a 360 around launch has had to replace it (not saying that all of them are defective but I guess my friends got the sour apples).

Well according to UPS they' ve delivered something today - i' ll know in about 2hrs whether it' s a new console (Tiz did you ever receive a new machine or just a refurbished one?) or whether they' ve replaced it with one they' ve fixed and deemed usable.

If it has to go back again i' ll be furious. If not then i have 2 console again.

The first replacement I received was a brand new one. Then the next one,
they said was a problem with the hardrive, so they sent it back with a new
hard-drive, but I can tell that this one is going to collapse.

I mean, if you believe that it' s genuinely a console error, I am sure you have every right to a brand new console, if you ask them, they usually do it.

Motherfuckers!!! this is the 2nd replacement and so my 3rd machine - and it' s fucking dead straight out of the box. Red fucking lights and and error message. Microsoft are a bunch of fucking jokers!
