You can easily see that it's my own personal impressions, based upon the usage of phrases like 'I think' , 'I feel' and last but not least 'My impressions are based on'...

I like this game..
I think it's alot better than the other FPS'es at the market, the graphics, sound and everything is great.

It's a much more hardcore shooter, than the others, CoD4/Resistance are more noob-friendly FPS'es, I think.

The controls in this are slower than Resistance/CoD and feels heavier, but it takes like 2 minutes before you get used to it, if you know your controller, the lack of aim-assist might be a bigger hurdle for most people.  :-/
If you're unable to aim yourself, you'll be killed.

The difference between this and CoD4-controls, are basically, if someone manages to flank you and starts shooting at you from behind, you will need to start using the sprint button, and try to get away - before you are turning around and start hunting them, wich isn't necessarry in CoD4, where you can turn and start shooting at the person who are shooting at you, and if you're weapon are better than his, you'll kill him.
Yeah, you will turn slower in this game, compared to other, turn-on-a-dime-shooters/twitch-shooters, but so will your opponents. :-)

You've got like 8 different control-schemes, so button-configuration-wize you're pretty well covered.

I'd reccomend this game over the newly skinned CoD- and Resistance-game wich came out a few months ago.

It's pretty exhausting to play tough, because it's suceeded to place you in a chaotic warzone. I feel I need to take breaks much more often in this game, than I did in any CoD or Resistance game, because my body usually are to tense.
That's abit negative, but I can live with taking a 5-minute-break every hour.

I have the highest postcount here. I could leave for 12 months and still have the highest postcount. I used to really enjoy posting here, but it's hardly worth the effort anymore. The only reason i do is for the very few interesting people, including but not limited to chef and dan. So unless you can do something about the 50 fucking spam threads of the front page i would probably mind my own business. When every new member we get is posting about CD keys and fucking GOLD for MMO's... what do you expect our reaction to be?

I think I have have every right to tell someone who knows nothing about FPS's to STFU when they start talking about which ones are noob friendly.

As for the traffic, I have NO idea (IGN's huge budget and timely reviews) why Kikizo (Kotaku's sheer number of new stories) isnt just crashing servers with all of its traffic.

There are certain members with unpopular points of view who occasionally post something that sparks a beasting. That's the nature of almost every web forum in existence. We don't have moderators and so there's no penalty for behaving unruly. I may not agree with it but that's just the way it is. Anyway, you haven't seen anything. Some of the abuse that's been dished out here would make most grown men cry.

I beg to differ - forums with a small core of regulars are often quite peaceful e.g. allaboutthegames.co.uk, videogaming247. Guess this one's the exception...

Anyway I won't say any more for fear of sounding like Mr Mackey. As regards modding, sorry about all the spam threads - we do get rid of them eventually but there's no 24 hour forum surveillance.

I fully understand Majik and Danny can come on strong, so I'll play diplomacy for a minute. Doree's never posted any direct contact information to date, so I haven't had any luck touching base with him. I fully recognize the buck doesn't stop with you on this issue. Would you mind passing this off to Doree, or at least directing him to this page?

Things are getting out of hand on the forum. Kikizo has one of a few options. They can provide a senior member here with the means to moderate the forums properly. They can assign or hire a full-time staffer to weed out the chaff, or they can continue to bleed forum mebership. We all love the place, but the ads and the trolls are more than enough to dissuade some of us from continuing to frequent the site. Give us a reason to stick around.

If you played it on veteran, I think it's you who needs to try the game once more at a different difficulty, concidering what we are discussing.

i never start a game on easy! modern games are simply to short to be played that way. I always take atleast normal, but mostly the level just above that.

I replayed CoD4 on veteran, its hella hard, though not as ridicoulous as Rainbow 6 on realistic!
