Whats wrong with being cocky ? If i was good at something i did , i would be cocky too .. I have not played NG II but every review i read said the camera is essentially the same as that of NG ..

It' ll be interesting to see whether there' s any fallout from this. Usually when something like this happens more staffers from the same team leave and start a new studio. If it' s Itagaki on his lonesome and the rest of Team Ninja stay at Tecmo then we' ll still get a decent DoA5.

On the one hand, this is going to be a tremendous blow to Tecmo, perhaps in the quality of their games, but most definitely in their PR. They' ll issue a statement regretting the choice of Mr. Itagaki and that they' re in no way responsible... but to a lot of fans, that' s like holding a speech in Jerusalem on how while the Holocaust was regrettable, the Nazis weren' t to blame.

I' m interested to see something fresh from Itagaki, and while some see this as a disappointment, it could give him the chance to begin work on a fresh IP.

He' s as likely to go to Konami as he is Microsoft. He has ties with both companies. Heh, a Ninja Gaiden-eque game featuring Raiden... [:' (]

But he could do wonders with Shinobi... so i' d rather he went to SEGA.

I dont really like Itagaki, he is in love with himself and what is with him and those bloody sunglasses, they just annoy me, I bet he thinks he lives in some sort of 1980' s movie where it was cool to wear a leather jacket during interviews and act tough.

But whatever I dont care about him and or Tecmo, And I dont believe him to be as innocent as the statement makes him out to be..

Itagaki is no saint. I suspect this all goes back to that sexual harassment incident he was charged with. After his bosses went to bat for him and crushed that case and got him cleared, they knew they had him by the balls and didn' t have to follow through with paying him the completion bonuses.

The guy is delusional; he' s made smartass remarks saying that he believes himself to have " conquered" the fighting genre. He' s no more than an also-ran in fighting games. I wouldn' t want him at Sega, cheapening the classiness of Shinobi/Kunoichi.

Still, as miserable as he is, Tecmo is nothing without him.

Itagaki wouldn' t ruin Shinobi/Kunoichi. If anything, he would take it to the next level, gameplay wise at least.

Oh, don' t get me wrong, I loved the PS2 Shinobi. In fact, I have both Shinobi and Nightshade for the PS2 and I like them. But Itagaki is a genius when it comes to action games, Ninja Gaiden is a testament to that.

I really hate seeing itagaki leave tecmo. I am a big fan of his DOA games. Jann Lee is my favorite character from any video game ever. I hope they will continue making more DOA games and always include Jann Lee.
