why does a country need nukes? I can understand why America has them, but at least they are sensisble, you never know what those mad men in some far eastern countrys might do with one, imagine if a nuke was on one of those 9/11 planes?,

Hiroshima had nothing to do with ending WW2 - WW2 ended in Berlin (and it' s hard to say US wasn' t responsible for a huge part of it)

That' s the part of the logic of war that irritates me the most. Country one causes a bunch of destruction so country two needs to cause enough distruction to discourage them.

I think it has more to do with economic influence than it does with military power. Money is the basis for most of the world' s priorities.
That' s why we' re up-in-arms about Iran, but we' re treating N.Korea like a joke. Iran has the potiential to affect the world economy, so when they start talking crazy people listen.
