Finl Fantasy III 3D remake in english at last .

I thought this DS game needs some introduction for those who missed it. First of all the release date - November 14 (US version). It is the 3rd installment in the FF series and it has never before been translated to english. This time it' s getting a new 3D engine and CG movies. There' s no better way to play FF on the go - I' d expect it to be closer to FF7 in gameplay than to all those new FF games, which for me , sounds really good. Some images: CG movie:

Sakaguchis FFIII which got voted in famitsu to be the 8th best game ever done, and has recently been the most wanted game by famitsu readers. It might be intresting. However people have to remember the old-school Final Fantasy games was about magic, crystalls, medivaltimes, chocobos, moogles and the characters. There is no hi-tech world. FF6-FF9 is more like the world you gonna see in FF3.

I don' t care if it' s high-tech or not - it could be just what I need.

Think that, if sales/rave on this FFIII remake are phenomable, they' ll consider full 3D remakes of say, FF4-6? That' ll be sweet Too bad the Double screens aren' t being used in very innovative ways. Normal exploration, the topscreen' s just a map. And battles need both screen processors so we only get one battle screen (which actually, isn' t a big deal...bigger deal that that Adamantoise monster looks SWEET!)

I have huge spares in school so i have a lot of time to kill and this game makes me want a ds LITE. I don' t care about FF on consoles but somehow I always liked RPGs much more on handelds. A perfect example are the Zelda games, I love them on the Gameboy but they were meh on consoles.

Well then, keep in mind that it' s totally old school (almost RETRO) design and gameplay with new graphics. It means that FF3 to FF7 is like Morrowind to Oblivion. You get the idea :) I actually love the idea of playing a true FF game after all those stupid " innovations" of FFX
