The Xbox360 is nearly here, so I thought it was a good time for a topic like this. Just what are the best Xbox games (preferably exclusives) ever in your opinion?

Mine are in no particular order:

Outrun 2: The ludicrously fun drifting mechanic, addictive heart attack mode and the amazingly fun party mode make this one of my choices, it' s also probably one of my most played games of the genration.

Jade Empire: I love the amount of choice it offers, the martial arts theme and the fun battle system.

Fable: Lots of promised features may not have made it into the game, but I still enjoyed every second of it. I loved moulding my own hero, just by the choices I made.

Dead or Alive: Ulimate: The best fighting game ever in my opinion. Anyone who has read any of my posts will probably know how I feel about this game.

Ninja Gaiden: A bit too hard for me, but it looks stunning, has ultra responsive controls and a satisfying if at times unfair level of challenge.

Games that have just missed out include: Halo, Halo 2and DOA 3

I can see what Joe was talking about in the thread above. But you do seem to have a nice post above, So i will say that Fable is one of my favorite xbox games. Even though i dont have an xbox, i still like it.

in my humble opinion of course in no particular order:

Project Gotham Racing 2
- perfect online experience

Rallisport Challenge 1
- cool arcade racing fun

Ninja Gaiden
- a game where you really have to move your butt to accomplish something.

DOA 3, XBV, Ultimate
- Itagaki knows how to do " good looking" games.

Splinter Cell
- graphics wonder, online multiplayer innovation.

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy
- great game, often (falsely) compared to Zelda, really a sleeper hit.

Crimson Skies
- I really really like the atmosphere and the arcade-style action.

GTA Double Pack
- great value, 2 games 1 price.

1. Soul Calibur 2 (heh, what did you expect)? I know it' s multiformat but it' s the best looking version of the three, and IMO it' s the best BEU available on all formats.

2. Jade Empire. It just shows that as far as RPGs are concerned, story and atmosphere play a much bigger role than graphics and innovation.

3. Halo 1-2. An FPS space opera. Great graphics and gameplay. Best combat ever in an FPS.

4. Ninja Gaiden. This was amazing when it came out. It might not be king of it' s genre anymore, but it' s still a damn fine game.

5. Fable. With a little more character and less persistence on " innovation" , this could have been better than Zelda.

If I can I' ll try to come up with something more original next time

I think just renaming the thread " Your favorite Xbox games" would suffice, as you' re not really asking " Wut is teh BEST xbox gamez evar!" If you can, just edit your first post and just edit the thread title.

I think I have only played one game on the X-box.... soul Caliber 2. It is a decent game, but I also played it on the Gamecube. But since it was the only game I have played on the box, I guess it is my favourite.

I don' t even own an xbox and I still bought games for it, Jade ,Doa3 and U, I figured i' d just wait for the 360, it' s probably backwards capable with the games I own.
