This is the first time I' ve heard of Eurovision. After watching a few of the songs from various countries I was impressed. It only took a few minutes of listening before one of the songs gave me an aneurysm. But the music wasn' t too bad after I unplugged my speakers.

Turkey while 90% of their country is in Asia, politically they have always been much more aligned with Europe than Asia. Israel is an oddity, but politically it would never work being part of the rest of the middle east, so they' ve always been aligned with Europe too. All their football teams play in European competitions as well.
