Maybe it' s just an American thing, but something seems inherently funny about getting the European nations together, and having them rate each other' s songs.

The eastern countries ***ed us over, I know, its a fucking joke! All those Eastern European countries vote for each other! Fucking political voting! The rest of Europe haven' t a chance! It might as well be called the Easterneurovision song contest. Anyway the standard of the Eurovision is recent years is dreadfull! Most of the songs are shite!!! We still hold the record for most wins, 7 times we won it.

Still in shock from the song " we will win the Eurovision" , from some country last year. Scary part it came in like 5th ort something. I laughed when Lordi came out! Irelands song this year is dire, really you got to learn something from songs like ' rock and roll kids' , best song eurovision ever, and it was ours. what happned to good music?

Yeah our song does suck. ' Rock and Roll kids' was an amazing song! Definitely best Eurovision song ever. As I said Eurovison sucks now. The standard of the songs is shite. Here is the song if you haven' t heard it before: Rock ' n' Roll Kids

As if i haven' t heard enough about the frickin' Eurovision Song Contest from my girlfriend, i gotta see this shit here too!? PS. It' s a crime against humanity that Israel haven' t have made the final. Germany should just give up their place and give the awesome Israeli song a chance to be heard! PPS. It' s about Iran. Obviously.

This is the first time I' ve heard of Eurovision. After watching a few of the songs from various countries I was impressed. It only took a few minutes of listening before one of the songs gave me an aneurysm. But the music wasn' t too bad after I unplugged my speakers. Eurovision is like American idol except without the talent. If we have to listen to substandard music to promote peace, then maybe we should Bomb Iran.

ABBA won Eurovision in what 75?! So it' s still popular with people from that generation and with the gay communities, peoples girlfriends and sisters. That kind of thing. It' s lame as fuck but i still think Israels song is cool.

Since when did Israel become a part of Europe? I' ve never liked the Eurovision Song Contest because I' ve never liked the music. Abba was before my time.

While not part of the EU Russia is geographically part of Europe, everything west of the Urals in Russia is in Europe making it the biggest country. Turkey while 90% of their country is in Asia, politically they have always been much more aligned with Europe than Asia. Israel is an oddity, but politically it would never work being part of the rest of the middle east, so they' ve always been aligned with Europe too. All their football teams play in European competitions as well.

Hey 90% of the world must be in Europe seeingas we get all their cast offs. Seriously though Scooch, who in the wide wide world of crap songs voted for scooch, seriously this ceased to be a contest when they let countries like Sweden join Europe..... Only joking when they allowed former soviet and politically allied countries join in. The whole thing is a joke and it is wearing thin

ORIGINAL: alijay034 Hey 90% of the world must be in Europe seeingas we get all their cast offs. Seriously though Scooch, who in the wide wide world of crap songs voted for scooch, seriously this ceased to be a contest when they let countries like Sweden join Europe..... Only joking when they allowed former soviet and politically allied countries join in. The whole thing is a joke and it is wearing thin Agre with the soviet thing. But that' s not the only reason. They should put back that jury of professionals back instead of letting people vote. It' s no miracle Turkey ends high every year as well since a huge load of them are in every western European land as well. Every year Turkey gets 12 points from Germany just because of all the Turkish people in Germany. And that' s only one example. What really screwed up who wins isn' t just that the let the former sovier countries in. The biggest flaw with the whole Eurovision is that people vote. All those former soviet lands give the highest points to their neighbours and then the rest goes to all those from the former Soviet union. If I remember correctly all the western european countries were all in the lower half of the final score. And at the top you only saw all those ex russian scumbags. I just like watching the show so I can complain about all the crappy songs and laugh with all those wanna be handsome guys who all try to fake a boysband or that Ricky Martin guy.

The last Eurovision worth watching was when Tatu threatened to have a carpet munching session on the stage, then they got cold feet and tried to sing. Prior to that it was either Isrealis she/ he' s and shite give peace a chance crap, Bucks Fizz was the last true Eurovision song, that and the fact they ripped off their skirts.

Since east had countries splitting up into 4-6 countries the voting is officially fucked up.
