As for the ROMs linkage, ROMs are illegal and I ' think' it' s a violation of forum guidelines to post such links.
Possession of ROMs may be illegal. ROMs are
not illegal...if that were the case, then every 8 and 16 bit game maker would have been imprisoned for blatantly producing an illegal product.
Also, every computer maker would be in major trouble as ROM = Read Only Memory. This is in every computer, calculator/adding machine, PDA' s, cell phones, and the list goes on...
However, possession of ROMs is only
illegal if you do not already own a copy of that exact game (no ' regional' or ' other' variations are allowed).
Some people, who legally acquire ROMs, do so because they originally purchased a copy of a game for their console, but either the console or system no longer works and is out of print and/or production ... BUT THEY LEGALLY OWN THE GAME (that is the important part) and are allowed to retain a backup copy which may be acquired through the internet or other legal sources.
The reason you got your link removed was that you were [unknowingly] (benefit of the doubt here) promoting the possibility of someone pirating the ROMs, getting caught, and saying that they got the link through the Kikizo website.
This, to say the least, would cause problems for Adam, Kikizo staff, and its members. To avoid these problems in the future, you would probably want to stay away from subjects that are
seriously controversial (like acquiring items that could be piracy-related)...just to be safe.
