I was merely referring to the size, I do like both their designs. But the PS3
is HUGE...

At the time I thought VB looked cool. Of course that was before I knew anything about it. Hahaha. I don' t really consider VB as a console though, in my view a console is something meant to connect to your TV, VB is in a class of its own.

the cell processor is very good . so the ps3 may be a little huge too

It' s the blu ray drive.. If the HD-DVD drive was in the 360, it would be
that big too.. I don' t think it' s the processing power if what we have seen so far
is anything to go by..

Hmm... display in full 1080p and spill drinks? The thing is, the PS3 can do some things other consoles can' t, It' s just that for the most part, they' re extra baggage that does little but jack up the price and throw it at the consumer. I' m not bashing you or anything, I' m just curious as to what advantages you see in their experimental hardware thing.


Edit: Almost completely unrelated, took a good look at a blu ray case in Best Buy the other day, and took note of the fact that it was smaller and thinnner, do you think PS3 games will follow suit?

The PS3 is certainly big, I think the machine itself looks decent but all the different sized layers is offputting... It actually looks like a sucessor to ps2, not much of a change. A shame.

Wii looks to be the nicest console this time around, but i wonder how the japanese will take the large ps3, after rejecting the exbox.

from those pics it' s clear to me that PS3 looks much better in horizontal position (360 was clearly made with vertical placement in mind)

Shit , it really is bigger and it' s not just a slight difference , but that shape and design make up for it IMO (I hate it when there' s something good to say about Sony bleh...)

Hmm I always complained about the size of the original Xbox , but now I see that it was all about it' s design.PS3 is huge , but with that glossy finish it looks like a 600$ equipment, while 360 looks like some cheap PC (unless you have a nice black shell for it - I' m definitely getting one).

It' s amazing how huge PS3 actually is.When they release the smaller version -PSfree, it will be as big as the old Xbox :)

The Xbox was kind of ... well a black box...but I didn' t notice too much since I usually play in a dark room

The only thing I dislike about the PS3 is the fact that it' ll weigh 11lbs or so, and thats about like what 3lbs-4lbs heavier then the Xbox...

THEN AGAIN, who really moves their councle that often besides the occasional lan party...
