nice i wonder what content they are talking about for Halo 2?

Additional multiplayer maps probably. Saying that, maybe there' s something in the storyline that we need before Halo 3?!

Very cool stuff. I was a little surprised that Microsoft decided to let it' s Baby go public beta. Usually they' re all " closed doors" when it comes to their premiere IP.

What will this beta contain? How many maps and weapons? When is Halo 3 due to release anyway?

This is such a pathetic announcement. Why' d they bother announcing anything at all? All they did was glorify something everybody alreay know... that we' ll have to wait until next year to play it. The only thing new about the whole long as article was the new screen... which actually looks like a downgrade compared to the E3 trailer. They got a little to happy with different mapping techniques. It' s also straight up green compared to the sandy color shown at the E3 trailer.

yeah. ive figured it out. bungie is gonna release halo 3 on january 1, 2011. but they are gonna make a warp that jumps from 2010 to 2012 and hog halo 3 to themselves.

Very nice, was hoping they would do something like this.

Recently Microsoft sent out a questionnaire asking whether people would be interested in paying for early access to games. This would seem to be an ideal candidate were such a plan put into action, but Microsoft hasn' t commented on whether you' ll have to pay to play during the beta testing.

Omg, you might have to pay to play a beta. Most people get paid to test games. But where there' s money to be made, there' ll always be someone to exploit it I guess. [:' (]

Well, I had the OMX magazine, and they talked about this in thier July issue.

It was something like: **not actual quote, if you want me to, I' ll bust it out the mag later tonight and look it up**
OXM: " How long has Master Cheif been walking?"
Bungie: " Master Cheif has been walking for a long, long time. Fans that have read the books can tell you that he can walk for quite a while."

Where am I going with this? Well, lets assume that the new picture is probably Cheif BEFORE he relands on earth. Then, when he is here, he' s probably running around the Saraha for a while. Next he decides to take a one man patrol down to ...that city. Thats at least a good couple days worth or his pace walking. Plus rolling around in the sand for a while probably would tint his armor a little. Till he hits the ocean water that is.

I' m not gonna pay for new maps for halo 2. I don' t even play that crappy multiplayer anymore now that Gears of War is out.
