Ok for starters, I would like to know what that sound is, as in all my years I have never heard a CD/DVD drive make that noise, even after it had been taken apart. Next fair enough it comes up with unplayable disc but what disc was it? Looked like a dodgy disc to me.
Finally if M$ have done a bodge it and leg it style launch then they will seriously loose out to Pony.

There are literally hundreds of videos just like this floating around, it' s not fake. I' m just surprised that the Elite has the same problems as the white version. You' d think that if they made a revision to the motherboard that they would make the minute effort needed to solve their hardware problems.

Some were poor laser allignment, some were the tilt sensor.

Also, I' m seriously shocked that they didn' t fix the lame RROD problem plaguing the first consoles. The whole problem is the set of X-clamps they' re using to mount the heatsinks to the mobo. There are multiple solutions to their problem. Most of them are easier and cheaper than their clamps too.

If I, who makes no money researching these things can figure that out, then where the hell are they?

Just out of curiosity, how can you tell the Elite apart from a painted 360?

A higher price tag and a more of a willingness to kill yourself.

Technically... there' s no way to tell if that was a painted 360, but I' ve got some ideas as to why it' s not.

The paint color is spot on, and it' s incredibly difficult to get that same texture from a rattlecan. The ROL is clean, most people screw that up royally. It could be a professional mod, but if it was, they' d make sure everybody got a good look at the 360 & the HDD to avoid said suspicion, that looked like it was shot with a nice cameraphone.

If it was an Elite there' s no reason why it wouldn' t have the same problems. As far as I know they haven' t changed their drive around a bit.
