First time movie director Niell Bloomkamp has been hired to direct the Halo movie. I' m thrilled that this hasnt ended up with the traditional game movie directors! link

I don' t know much about the guy (I' ll google him later), but from what I read from IGN, this combination of Jackson and Bloomkamp sounds awesome and I' ll probably see it opening weekend! I just wonder how the story line will play out....

Here' s some info about Neill Blomkamp: Info Here are some samples of his work: Samples To be honest, I' m fairly excited about this news. I' ve had that " Alive with technology" commercial on my computer for some time now, and his other stuff looks equally good, if not better! Actually, I just showed that commercial to my sister YESTERDAY, which is fairly ironic (I guess). Check out that " Alive in Joburg" short! Crazy!

SO that was hiiiiis work. Cool. Anyhow the link says I need a name and password to access it, I just googled the name of the video you mentioned. Tho I would like to see the rest, anyway of fixing that? EDIT: This will be my last post for a few hours as it seems Im alone in the forum right now...or maybe being shunned by its community...and the amount I been posting without anyone else around is making me look like a spammer trying to get my name up all over.

Just click on the " Info" link, and there will be a link on his page that says " View Reel" . Click that, and a window will pop up that has his name near the upper right. Click that and it will show the 5 samples!

I don' t think it can be helped, seeing as we are on different timezones... Don' t worry Mass, i' m sure everyone understands what you did and why you did it. I found it quite funny actually, I just want more GRAW!

So when the movie eventually comes out for consumers to purchase, will it be on HD-DVD or Blu-ray?

ORIGINAL: Tiz So when the movie eventually comes out for consumers to purchase, will it be on HD-DVD or Blu-ray? Should be on Blu-Ray, So all the Playstation 3 owners can see how cool/crap halo is and then want (or laugh at) 360 and it' s supporters. I am not such a fan of halo, it was alright, but can' t say i' m hyped one bit about the idea of a movie.

The whole thing should be in first person then 1/3 in they should switch to some other entity on the other side of the war to give us their perspective and end it with a cliff hanger after 3 1/2 hours of movie time!
