Pathetic. GT5 pisses on it with pis of blood. Even Mario Kart can take that shit on.
Or give me any version of WipeOut on any Sony console. Pfff, PGR another MS failure.

Please Ghost, stop making a fool out of yourself. It' s as embarrasin to me as it is to you. Just stop it. I' ll give MS some credit for Forza 2, easily the best racer ever to grace a MS system.
But PGR? LOL@the MS fanboy

I' m not amused. Forza sucks ass. It' s amazing that they managed to get everything wrong in that game. PGR 4 will show everyone how it' s done.

Actually it' s very likely possible that PGR4 is going to be the best racer ever. After that slight disappointment that PGR3 was it looks like Bizarre are on their way to create a proper next-gen version of PGR2. And if PGR4 is just a tiny little bit better than PGR2 it' s pointless for any other video game developer to even think about making another racing game.

As always it depends what you like. I like a bit of both.

The cars look fantastic in PGR4, especially in the replays. It' ll have great presentation, a brilliant in-car view and the soundtrack by prodigy will be awesome! Plus online was a lot of fun in 3. Its an arcade racer, so you cant expect realism, but its fun.

The guys at bizarre are blatent car nuts so I cant not get this game. :P

PGR has always been dead center, it' s both arcade and sim. The perfect balance. Forza is halfway between PGR and Sim and GT is Sim. To some extent it depends on what you like but some games have more merit than others even considering what they are trying to accomplish.

Well I' ve been dabbling in real life racing recently, so to me FM2 and GT are still arcade. Even GTR/Legends etc arent true simulations. PGR is definitely more sim than say Outrun or Ridge Racer, but on the scale of things its pretty far over towrads arcade in my book.

Id say all of them have equal merit though. I did get bored of FM2 after a while, but I' ve gotten back into it after discovering the harder races later on, where you miss an apex and you lose! :s

I never got into GT(and I hated Forza). But out of curiosity, will GT5 have damage this time around? It always bothered me that a Sim didnt show damage. And this will surprise you, but I own an Xbox and 360 and never bought a PGR game, I just dont normally do racing games. I liked Metropolis Street Racer on the DC, so I guess Ill pick up PGR4, since its the same dev and such.

F-Zero GX is still the best racer I' ve played.
Nothing comes close.
Seriously.

No I mean it.

For real this time.
No joke.

I wonder if PGR4 will actually be in a real HD resolution this time. PGR3 didn' t even make it to 720p (it was upscaled).

Didn' t hurt PGR3, and if i remember correctly you harped on about MotorStorm for like, forever, and that' s only 30fps.

Yeah i did, but that was mainly about it' s physics and i only played the game like 3 times. Almost the same thing happened with PGR3.

Their decent games but at 30fps, im missing half the handling and sensation of drifting round bends.. Growing up on SEGA / Namco racing games, im used to 60fps as standard. (like alot of you older generation should understand) i really cant stand the feel of 30fps Racing games... They don' t feel right to me.. It' s ashame too, as i really liked the sound of the Motorbikes ECT.

I know what you' re getting at but Bizzare did a great job with PGR3 and i expect 4 to be the same. I can tell the difference but i' m not as sensitive to it as some people.

I bet the framerate in PGR4 holds up better than the 360 MotoGP games, ...and they' re supposed to be 60...

you guys seem to be missing all the fuss around teh forums lately about the lastest video of PGR4, it was off screen but it looks freaky amazing. People are arguing this is real , this is cg , this is real time, now what' s more disturbing is that Ben a supposdly developer from Bizare Creations says in the company forum that THIS IS INGaME.

If that' s true then it totaly destroys GT5 but i can' t believe it seriously, you gotta check this video to judge by youirself, some elements do look Ingame (and they are amazing) while some look Totaly CG.

The video

the bizare forum: look for Ben posts

Teamxbox forum

judge by yourself, if this is truly ingame, and i mean by that simply as how the game will look with the hud on, then we' re not in Kansas anymore ..
