And Rainbow Six, especially as it runs on UE3.0.

I will buy all except FEAR because I have it on PC, and apparently it isnt a very good port(not to mention I prefer mouse/keyboard in an FPS anyday).

I hope like hell Oblivion runs great, that game kicks ass, and if any console on the market can handle this game running near full capacity it would be a ps3. Not even Nvidia' s new DX10 video card can run this game past 28FPS in outdoor terrains with settings maxed, which is an incredible achievement, considering how insanely taxing this game can be on video cards.

Well actually the 8800 gets close to 50 fps outdoors at 1280x720 and it would get even more but the performance bottlenecks at the CPU. Sadly PS3 can' t do HDR and AA at the same time so you' ll only get one or the other. The PC version of oblivion doesn' t allow for both AA and HDR at the same time either through the in game options. On xbox 360 it has both HDR and AA. It will be interesting to see the how it looks and runs on PS3.

Hopefully with Sonic PS3 being delayed and all, the dreadful loading times would have been optimised, pop up reduced (if not eradicated) and framerate made smoother. I agree with Kikizo' s very fair review in that it' s a good game with technical faults that are hard to ignore. Hopefully the PS3 version will be much better!

Ignorant shit like this is the reason some people eat glass. It blows my mind that after 360 proved to have a slight lead in the graphic department some people are still OMG TeH PS3 is LEET, more powerful than god. And saying that the ps3 could beat a 8800 series card...LOL. Dude you look so stupid right now. RSX is on par with a 7800 series card. The gpu in 360 (xenos) is a generation ahead of RSX, it' s based on the same architecture of the upcoming ati R600 it has some Shader model 4 and some DX10 features. However Xenos is smaller than what Ati new PC cards will look like. It has 48 shaders as opposed to 64 and much less memory bandwidth.

Ps3 has a GT 7800-256mb.

I for ex have a GT 7950-512mb.

Yes cell is a very powerful cpu,but you still have only 192 ram over after the cpu etc.

while i for ex have 3 gb ram.

Face it,your ps3 is like a powerful pc,but its already being past by other pc' s.'

And 360 already won the first graphic war.

September i think. It' ll be out in the US before then even though it could slip from March there too, so as long as PS3 isn' t delayed here then you could always import the game.

Doesnt make any sense, remember when we heard only that Heavnly sword was gonna hit Europe?

Now suddenly that early 2007 date for EU is gone and only for USA?

Must be for both...

Yeah, but in the end the PS3 will have the best games and that' s all i care about

And graphic, all though i will be able to play Crysis which ps3 and xbox360 cant do without downgrading, most of the other games will own my pc.

Since they optimize for ps3/xbox360 then for my pc-

I think it' s fine people like PC games but personally, I don' t find many interesting games on the PC. It doesn' t seem like the PC will become stronger now either when FPS and RTS games are selling quite well on consoles.
If good console type games would appear on PC' s though (like good fighting games) then I might get interested.

No, what I' m saying is that even the best Video card on the market cant even handle this game past 28fps when running at 1600x1200 resolutions.

By saying this, I' m trying to point out that even a ps3 wont be able to run this game close to being maxed out. Yes, the ps3 so far hasnt matched the xbox 360 in graphics, but it is also brand new, and developers have yet to really get a handle on it. No systems release graphics have ever ever matched those that it achieves later in its life, whether it be NES, SNES, Genesis, Turbo Graphix, PS1, PS2, Xbox etc.

If you read my other posts, I admit PC' s being superior to consoles other than having fewer titles.

Of course the ps3 and xbox360 are behind PC' s, all consoles always have been. They are never going to put the best ram or video cards in a console because it would cost too much and it must go through development.

PC' s have no limit on price, and its way easier to bring hardware to the market quickly. I still buy consoles because they are a great deal, and have a lot of exclusives that I love to play, but don' t try and put words in my mouth telling me that I' m saying any consoles are superior to computers.

All this and the damn thing isn' t even out in the UK yet. I' m really interested in seeing how PS3 Sonic fares. I was sort of enjoying it on 360 but the constant and frequent loading times just ruin the experience.

Technologically 360 > PS3.

YOU said...

...which is complete bullshit. Since PS3 can' t do HDR + FSAA, has less available main memory and a slightly slower drive [read] speed, ...the game can' t possibly look as good as the 360 or PC versions.

Now saying it can' t look as good as the 360 version is me getting ahead of myself as i haven' t actually seen the PS3 version yet, ...but theoretically if the 360 version had been released now then i would have looked much better anyway. What you might have is a game that looks marginally better than the 360 version in some areas [like the texture-in threshold that an be noticeable in the outdoor areas being further away and less noticeable in the PS3 version], but with either some bad-ish aliasing, rubbish lighting, or worse framerate.

If it looks nicer than the 360 version then i' ll be surprised but also happy in the knowledge that the 360 is capable of much more.
