Hype=bad if your game is merely average. Im surprised it hasnt gotten some really shit reviews out of hate for the hype.

They're still going to sell a million copies.  How many people actually read these reviews?  Out of this minority, how many people are dumb enough to make buying decisions based on reviews?

Hype never effects sales negatively.

I played the demo yesterday and I didn't think it was that bad.  Maybe in the area of a 7/10 and 8/10.  It has flaws but if the game mechanics work, especially if they're different I can always forgive imperfections.

The demo had way too much aliasing and some of the models looked like total shit, the controls while not in combat take some getting used to (I kept trying to use the right joystick to move the camera) and the story sounds like they tried too hard and missed.

If they pulled off the skill system where you can feel the difference and it takes time to build up a maxed character, then it might be interesting.  Too bad co-op only supports two players though.

This is the game that everyone loves to hate, but it really doesn't seem that bad.

I'm thinking of buying it tomorrow.

I feel exactly the same way.  If it had 4 player co-op there would be a 95% chance I would buy it.  Since it only has 2 there is about a 50% chance I'll get it.
What helps this game a lot imo is that it is a fairly unique game.

Unlock all character classes for the demo

1. Disconnect from Xbox Live.
2. In the Dashboard go to the "System" blade, and then enter "Console Settings", followed by "Clock".
3. Enter "Date and Time" and change the year from 2008 to 2009.
4. Return to the Dashboard.
5. Go to the "Games" blade, enter the "Games Library" and launch the Too Human demo.
6. Begin the demo and enter the Class Selection screen. You will notice you have automatically unlocked the Berserker and Commando classes by simply moving the date forward on your console.
7. But the Defender and Bioengineer remain locked...
8. To play as the Defender or Bioengineer you need to first move the screen to the desired class which is locked.
9. Then simultaneously flick the left thumbstick right and press A, to play the demo as a Defender or Bioengineer.
10. Enjoy and find a class to love in Too Human.

fuck gamespot.

That reviewer who is "NEW" gave MGS4 10/10.

Mass effect 8.5
Lost odyssey 7.5
Blue dragon 6.0

And now Too HUMAN 5.5

If like to be so fucking harsh then why give mgs4 10/10?

Sonyslave.

With that said the game looks to be a 7/10.

I don't think anyone should give a game a perfect score, because then it causes so many bullshit arguments.

Perfect doesn't excist, GTA4 shouldn't have gotten all those 10's now that's a perfect example of 10's being given away to easily. MGS4 although a great game I wouldn't give it a 10. As a fan I'd say 9 for newcomers...I'd give it an 8 or so.

The only game to this day that deserved getting a 10 was Ocarina of time simply because it did so many new things at once and did them well. But yeah should stop before a whole arguement about these things breaks out.

Ha, why stop at giving games 10's at all? they shouldnt even have a point based system, this is an industry of such double standards, that anything with a bit of hype can go a long way the reviewers, 10's are too easily handed out to loved franchises like Zelda, Mgs etc. Even if they are good games, No game is a Ten.

What they should have is an 'high tier' of games, which if one is good enough, it should go into. But it will never happen because magazine buyers and gamers in general demand scores.

Bah, I dont ever really reed review's anyway.
