In just over 3 months Halo 3 sold 8.1 million copies? Yikes. While we all knew Halo 3 would sell incredibly well, I didn' t actually think it' d amount to that much.

The Myth series was great! atleast Myth II was really cool! Oni wasnt a bad game it just wasnt a great game either. MS poored lots and lots of funds into marketing Halo 3.

While Halo 3 probably is the most overrated game this yeah, saying its not good is a underrating it. Its like its somehow popular to say it wasnt good in retrospectiv, i didnt see anyone complaining when it was released (okay a few but not that many)

I hope Bungies next game is great, i think they have set their standards high and will try hard to prove they can do it.

I don' t think Halo 3 is overrated, but that depends if you were expecting the Holy
Trinity to descend from the skies on it' s launch day, then yeah, you could say it' s
overrated.

But wow! 8.1M???? I almost choked on my drink, Halo 3 is a giant steam roller
and I happen to own 2 copies of it, purely by mistake, my Legendary took too long
to arrive.

But come on, when has campaign ever been more fun than with three of your
friends, same room with beers and snacks? Running each other over then watching
it in theatre mode and bringing them all in with you?

That' s partly the reason I like Halo 3, I don' t know what everybody else wanted
from it.

you are probably right about the co-op campaign, but having not tried it I can' t comment. However as a single player experience Halo 3 is trumped by both Bioshock and CoD4 and the latter also walks all over Halo 3 in multi-player.

Certainly Halo 3 isn' t a bad game however it is the xbox system seller so it must be given plaudits for that.

Well good for them. With a lot of their AAA titles already out the door, it' s going to be a relatively strong year for them. Hopefully by this summer their component costs will be reduced (along with repair issues sorted out), and they' ll start doing even better.
