? But the first 2 were mediocre, so why should we care now with HL:Orange Box, UT3, Halo 3, Quake Wars, COD4, etc. right around the corner?

the first one was awesome, that' s what made it famous however the second one was mediocre. i think the third one will also be disappointing..

Its hard to tell the first one really was a great game though, except for the last boss! I never finished the second one.

Since Raven are also currently deep in the development of the next Wolfenstein game, i' d probably say they' ll use the same engine for both.

Soldier of Fortune was pretty cool for its time because of the hit location limbs blowing off and such. It wasn' t a great game, but it was decent. I thought the same of SF2. It has decent popularity too. I' ll keep an eye on it, but I don' t have high hopes.

Raven isnt the developer, its being made by activisions budget developer, as activision cant making proper games by themselves, i have little hope for a budget developer!
