Phantom Hourglass - Oct 22, 2007 16:23
Now since my local Ebgames was deadset on cheating themselves, i took my old copy of SuperMario 64 DS and Sonic rush down to the store, payed about a quarter, and get myself Phantom Hourglass for the DS.

Now i was skeptical at first, having read some reviews that the game is too easy, its definetly not hard, but thats not the point of this thread.

The game is fucking awesome, and playing it, i imediately realize why the WW is a much better game to me than TP. I just love the style, somehow its much more fitting to Zelda than the other.

The control scheme is really great, feels like playing with a mouse only easier.

I hope the next Zelda on the Wii will be WW styled. Please give me a boat, i love the sailing sequences and the music playing as i go.

Yes, because Mario Kart and NSMB (and to a degree Zelda) are full of engrosing story

Nah not really, but atleast Zelda does have a story, and its not just a collection of silly minegames, or puzzle games which are a drag to get through, there is a sense of accomplishment completing games with an end.

Personally I prefer the arcade coin-ops of the early 80s... you could not win these games at all, you could only postpone losing for as long as possible. That was the fire that forged me into the relentless gut-hooking beast-man that you see before you, quietly touchtyping with fury.

Speaking of 80s Arcade and DS, i recently Purchsed Konami Classics Series: Arcade Hits

And it' s an Excellent DS cart .. Includes:

Contra, Gradius, Time Pilot, Scramble, Rush' N Attack, Horror Maze, Pooyan, Roc' N Rope, Track & Field, Circus Charlie, Basketball, Road Fighter, Yie Ar Kung Fu, RainbowBell, Shao-lin' s Road.

Also, IGN have just Previewed the Sequel to Snes Super Contra III. Contra 4 for the DS, with a new video (graphics and music are kickin) and details:

Both the Original Contra and Snes Contra III: Alien Wars are unlcokables.

F*&king cool.
