you dont have to be a nub to get virus on your pc, any unprotected PC will get it. But then again Loco withouth an antivirus program you cant know whehter or not you have it can you?

I think people are stupid if they dont have antivirus on their PC, its not just a matter of your own security but stopping virus from spreading around!

The question is how dangerous those viruses are. I didn' t have a anti-virus program for four or five years and when I scanned my PC I only had a few viruses and none of them were dangerous. But then again I had Windows Me.

Thanks for that Evil man, I am already running a 700W so I should be ok. Look forward to spending the £350 they are at the moment.

Think of AV as a Condom, would you goto a club pick up some random bird and then perform the horizontal mambo without a rubber?

You need to stop there, before certain members of our forum need to clean their keyboards just thinking of that.

You can still get a virus even if you use AV software.

You are no where near my level, you are such a low level you don' t even know about it.

Locopuyo, you astound me, you are a college boy and yet you think you know more about Computers than an IT professional with MCSE,CCNA and also a BSC in Computer science, oh yes I cut my teeth on an ICL system 25, the first PC I used was a PET and I was creating sprite based games on the Amiga at the age of 14, I was also 1 of 3 people to hack into Hatfield poly' s " Secure network" at the age of 15. I will step back to my original quote you are surviving on dumb luck nothing more and nothing less.

You are so pompous you deny people can do things you can' t. I' ve been running virus free and AV software free for years.

p.s. it also blocks out your ability to find humor

Locopuyo doesn' t know much about computers at all, as has been proven countless times in various threads, ignore him like everyone else does.

You should be good with that if it is a good brand I hope. I went through a thermaltake, antec, and silver stone all in the 700-800w range before I settled with a PC Power & Cooling 750W, thing is insanely good.

For my PC as a whole or the videocard?

As a whole my PC is loud because everything is overclocked and I have it set up in my living room hooked up to an HDTV, from which I sit considerably far away in a couch, therefor I' m not even close enough to hear it even though it' s very loud compared to what I have in my office/room.

If you mean the 8800GTX itself, it' s surprisingly quiet for something its size, definitely not as noisy as a 360, comparing it to a 7950GT it is considerably more quiet as well.

Holy shit I can' t even remember my previous post. I had a bottle of JD (40%) and 5 beers, Sols (4.5%) in the span of about four hours. It wasn' t the most I ever drank but is was pretty close.

Evil that' s a fucking sweet card. What games have you been playing with it? I' m waiting until March before I get a new GPU. By then the 8900 series and the X2900 series will be out. ATIs new cards are looking like they will fucking rock.

Get ' Garry' s Mod' !

Can d/l it off steam for $9.95. Requires a Source powered game of course. My PCs weak shit til I put a bit more money into so I been messing around with Garry' s Mod more then playing Half Life 2 and what not.

Speaking of Half-Life 2. My brother has the game and I wanted to put in on my PC as well buuuuut it has that dman code lockout deal thing. Anyway around that? Hell can anyone explain whats thats all about in the first place as well. Should I be wary of that for other PC games or just Valves?
