Hey gamejunkie. I was going to vote Conservative too until I found out Steve Harper wants to privatise our healthcare system. When I heard that I changed my mind. So now I' m going NDP for federal and Conservative for Provincial. I think the conservatives could do some good to Ontario. Look at BC. I wouldn' t wanna put Harper as a PM though, not him. I just don' t trust him with the big issues...

Like I said I don' t care much for him either, He once said he puts Alberta before Canada. But since I lean more towards the right I can' t see myslf voting for the NDP although they would be my second choice. So I don' t have much choice than to vote conservative for both FED and Provincial. I really hope the Liberals get kicked out, the MP in my riding (Marcel Proulx) is such a bum, the only time we ever hear from this fucker is during the elections. He never does anything. I' m just so tired of the Liberals, they make me sick. I can' t see Harper ever being capable of full privitzation of the health care system. He just wants to encourage some private clinics and hospitals to open. This is something we need, I' ve heard so many times about people who need life saving surgery and have no choice but to go to the States because the canadian hospitals are either full or are under funded and don' t have the neccessary equipment. Having mostly governed health care and some private hospitals would be imo ideal. Today' s election day, for once I have something to watch on TV.

Yes Conservatives won!

Well, not what I was really looking for but surprisingly I feel a little bit pleased that the Tories won with a minority government. This means they won' t be able to do whatever they want, which could be a little dangerous. On the other hand, they can' t form an alliance with any other parties for majority. They could with the liberals, but that' s never gonna happen. If they allied with NDP, that would sum up 153 seats, 2 far from majority...oh well, if they take down this government withing the next two years, which will require us to vote again, I won' t be voting. But I have a strange feeling that it might actually happen. Time will tell.

I like the way he makes speeches, he gets to the point and doesn' t speak as generally as Layton does, which is one thing I don' t like about him. If u watched " Your turn with Jack Layton" on CBC, he never gave a clear, correct, to the point answer to any of the questions asked.

**In his speech tonight he said he will implement a " waiting time guarantee" when it comes to health care. So i guess no more waiting 6 months to see a specialist. It' ll be interesting to see how he approaches this and what kind of reaction he will get from the opposition.

I was impressed with Paul Martin' s speech at the end, like the news reporters said he showed grace. Layton didn' t seem into it last night. I missed Harpers speech as I had to get to bed, I have to wake up early for work.

I' m just glad the Liberals finally got their ass kicked, even if its still only a minority. My only dissapointment is that The Liberals won again in my riding, it boils my blood when he does nothing and keeps winning. To add insult to injury the Block were in second.

the liberals won in my riding too. oh well.

Yeah, I liked Martin' s speech. It was the right move on his part in my opinion. If the tories do well, who knows, next time we might see a majority government.

It will be hard for the conservatives to fuck up, it sould be easy for them to accomplish the common goals they have with other parties which leaves behind their exteme ideas. The only way they can screw it up is if they have some scandal.
