Tiz, are you in the CoD4 beta?
I went through that Eurogamer thing, now I' m just waiting for selection... It
said they' d let me know... But I have received nothing yet...
When does the Beta actually finish? I was going to pass i up, but then I thought,
it' s a BETA, how much harm could it prove...?
Any idea how long I may have to wait, even though I applied to join last Friday??
Nah, i applied for a 2nd key through Eurogamer and a 3rd through Gamespot and i' m still waiting. They said they were giving them away weekly so i' m glad i' m already in it as i wouldn' t fancy waiting until next week to start, especially with Halo the week after...

i feel kinda disapointed as the game looks a lot like Ninja Gaiden Sigma, but that' s not a bad thing it' s just that i expected something amazing. so... That list about Ms conference seems more real now.

I think it took me about two weeks before getting into the Beta. It probably varies greatly.

It looks like the Sigma bullshots, not Sigma gameplay. Ofcourse, these are bullshots too so we still have no clue, but i' d wait to see HD gameplay footage before deciding how you feel about the visuals.

I think all they need to do with Gaiden 2 is give a more EPIC feel.

Play through description from IGN
The game starts. The player jumps into first person to survey the scene. Then runs around. A GROUP OF SIX ENEMIES APPEAR.
The gameplay is so fast that it' s hard to watch. Hard to keep up with. Lots of blood. Bodies getting chopped in half. Ryu pins enemis on the ground, thrusts his sword in, and they explode!
After the fight, he shakes the blood of his sword. Then runs up the stairs to the top of a bridge. Lots of eneies appear. Ryu does a ninja arts move. He switches form his rapier sword to a twin blade.
Then to shurikens. Actually, I think the shurikens are equipped as a subweapon. The environments have a lot of destructable elements to them. He' s fighting in a fruit stand area, and when the fight ends, all the stands have been destroyed and the fruits are lying on the ground.
Next, Ryu faces off aginst gun-wielding enemies. They have machine guns.
Chopped up bodies are everywhere. They don' t seem to be leaving the scene, at least not initially.
Now, he changes to Ryu' s claws. Giant winged beasts, three times his size appear. They have green blood.
HOLY *&%# THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING ACTION GAME I' VE EVER SEEN!!!
Boss time. A giant rumbling. A huge beast, with six legs and 10 times Ryu' s size rampages onto the scene. He roars, then the demo comes to an end.

It' d be nice if they gave us a demo, even though it' s probably a year off release. Capcom did it with Lost Planet...

Judging by my skill in Ninja Gaiden, finishing a short demo would take me more time than finishing all the Final Fantasy titles to date.
The play time in Ninja gaiden is for me ten times the stated time.

So you' re looking at 300 hours to complete Gaiden 2?
That being said, I managed to clock up 432 hours of play time on the original Ninja
Gaiden, which is far more play time than any other game I have ever played...
