I saw a video of someone from EA saying " This year they' ll give 360 the better game and next year they' ll have to give the PS3 the upper hand" That sounds like what they' ve done with the ps2 and the other consoles for the past few years. Anyone ever notice(if anyone plays the madden series here) how EA works harder on the ps2 version than anything else? If you compare gameplay of the ps2 version to the 360 version(and gamecube if you want to count it) you notice a whole lot

I added some few games to the list , all in all , 2008 seems is even bigger than 2007, there are already some MAGETON Titles for next year specialy for the PS3 owners. But in Contrast to what seems a drought year of exclusives to the 360, içt doesn' t look so AT ALL, 360 will also be BIG in 2008, bear in mind that we are still near the middle of 2007 and the numbers of games that seem promising in 2008 is 21 for 360 and 24 for PS3 !!! that is mighty impressive as many games will still be announced and only very few of this list might slip to 2009.

I' m pretty sure you will hear about some specieal 360 titles coming next fall/winter for 08 for the 360.

WOuldn' t suprise me at all if they make GoW2 atm.

If they coulöd make 5 chapters for GoW that fast for the pc,they shouldn' t have a problem making a sequal fast enough.

I doubt 2008 will be bigger than 2007. Why? We' ll see ALL of Nintendo' s AAA titles this year, as well as half of Microsoft' s and a few of Sony.

On the other hand 2008 is almost solely driven by long sheduled PS3 games getting finally released. Microsofts and Nintendos line-up for 2008 seems to be somewhat boring so far.

Though if Dead Rising 2 gets released 2008 it will, of course, be the best year in gaming history.

I' m more excited about Left 4 Dead. The game looks like a cross between Dead Rising and an FPS with a strong co-op component.

did u see the list i wrote in the begining ? are u sure ?? because with games like final fantasy 13, metal gear, resident evil 5, Alan Wake, soul calibur 4, Bonjo, kill zone 2 , Banjo, alone in the dark and muuch much more, this year is nowhere near boring, it' s hell of a year ... Plus the new surprises that will be unfolded later in this year.

So was the case ,for microsoft this year, all of these games got crowded during this season because they were supposed to be released earlier than that; Mass Effect is definitly one of those but it got pushed many times...

i don' t see 2008 boring at all, i need new announcements from Microsoft and i' m sur there will be, BUt as of RIGHT NOW, 2008 look really bright for both consoles.

Ah yeah well, but your list has still got some issues. New Splinter Cell is announced for 2007 and you forgot Marvel Universe Online and Infinite Undisocvery for 2008.

Anyway, my biggest reason why I say that 2008 is worse than 2007 is that most of those Microsoft titles AREN' T confirmed to be 2k8 titles. Games like Banjo might get delayed several times and so could a few others that are on the list. On the other hand though almost all 2007 games release dates are written in stone. But you are right, using the word boring didn' t really fit and I was exaggerating a bit.

Metroid Prime 3 comes this year so 2007 will own 2008.
Unless we see a Guardian Heroes sequel/port/re-make/VC/Live Arcade game in 2008.

The concept is good, but I' ve got a feeling about certain games, and this one has 6/10 written all over it. There' s absolutely no basis for what I' m saying here, but I' ve just got a rather bad vibe about the whole thing.

Well judging from the videos this game seemed somewhat linear to me. And for Zombies, I prefer sandbox games.

Your point?

The club looks meh

I guess if you hate arcade awesomness from one of the most talented developers out there.

Golden axe is an arcad game

The original Golden Axe was one of the greatest arcade games of all time. Good call.

L.A noire, we don' t know shit about it

And yet it' s coming in 2008 and has a fantastic premise.

Bully 2 ? i thought it was about a remake of the first one

That' s coming out in 2007, but I' m sure this is just hype for the upcoming sequel.

let' s keep it real

Good point, I' ll continue to search out the best looking games for 2008 and post them on this thread.

about the witcher, i posted only about 360 and ps3, although i should have posted Wii, PC, PSP , DS but i just wanted to focus on PS3 and 360.

Golden axe, yet is a wonderfdul game back then , i did play it at the time , but now it' ll be released as an xbox live arcad right?? so i' m not going to put it

if i put " the club" i should add many more titles, L.A noir there is just a teaser overe there, sure it sounds good and specialy when it' s something totaly different from rockstar, but we' ll wait for more coverage, this list gonna grow slowly but surely... also if some game is confirmed to be release for 2009, i' ll update the list.

Why just PS3 and X360? I thought this was 2007 vs. 2008 gaming, you know, as it says in the title!

No, there was an XBLA release that happened at E3, but there is a brand new game coming out that is not budget or DL or classic. It' s a brand new big budget big release game.

L.A. Noire is one of my most anticipated games. You should probably add cryostasis to the 2008 list as well.

Added Clive Barker' s Jericho

This game seems awesome, it got a really great feedback from e3, a squad of supernatural humans !

Folklore got 5/10 at eurogamer, i' m not really shocked, from that gameplay video they showed , it looked like it sucked even with its silent hill feeling. i didn' t put folklore in the list anyway.

From now on, i' ll take down from the list any game that got less than 88% just to see which are the games that will live up to the hype (although their level of hypes differ but let' s not complicate things)... On my target now, Lair, i' m waiting for more reviews to pull the triger.

Why exactly 88%? Why not 85 or 90? 88 seems so weird.
