Labyrinth (1986) - Sep 17, 2004 15:44
Watched Labyrinth with the family last night. Haven' t watched it in at least 10 years. It is still an awesome movie in my opinion. I love Jim Hensen' s muppets and puppets. The kids loved the movie as well. If you haven' t heard of it or seen it, get it!

Teenage Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) -- fed up with baby-sitting -- wishes that goblins would whisk away her baby brother. Much to her surprise, she gets her wish. The perfidious Goblin King (David Bowie), who lives in a castle surrounded by a giant labyrinth, gives Sarah one chance to save her sibling: Get to the castle -- through the maze -- in 13 hours. But to navigate the perilous labyrinth, Sarah will have to muster all her mettle and might.

You remind me of the babe with the power! What power? The power of the voodoo! Voodoo? You do! Do what? Remind me of the babe with the power!

That was Bowie' s best part. That song he sung suxed soooo bad. Even if the song was good, the fact that his " manbits" were poking out of his leatard was very disgusting, and it seems like they were really trying to show the fact that his tiny pecker was sticking out. My I wont forget that, not in a 100 years..yuck:)

OMG! I love that movie beyond belief! David Bowie.... RAR! Seriously, that movie is awesome and Jim Henson was a genious.

Daroosh, was the TV show called " the Story Teller" ? A friend of mine has it in its entirety on DVD. I never really watched it as a child, but as an adult, it is amazing. Scary as hell, but amazing.

Not long after that movie was released, the science center in my city had a Jim Hensen tribute display. There was a lot of the muppets from that movie there. It was pretty cool.

It depends on what your interests are, it is an interesting movie... sure the acting is rather awful, but I still enjoy the movie. I' d reccomend it.
