Need For Speed Carbon [:' (] and Fifa 2007 are sitting pretty atop the UK software sales charts. Both are multiplatform and obviously that makes Gears staying at number 1 virtually impossible.

360 has been doing well in the UK for the entire year and Q4 is the busiest period for the industry anyway so these kinds of figures are pretty much expected. Microsoft will sell a shitload of machines in the next 5-6 weeks worldwide but PS3 is going to have an uphill battle here and in Europe as a whole when (if) in launches in March.

Must be the one place on earth where the 360 outsells the PS2.

Kudos to the 360 tho because they are one of the few who give a fuck about europe, they deserve to sell well, and really SONY should pay attention and learn from MS to respect that market since in overall numbers Europe maybe the market where the PlayStation brand sell the best, i hope they dont delay the PS3 again.

The DS is the first console I know of which is really selling to the female market - Nintendogs and Brain Traiing are hugely popular with the ladies!

And it' s still big with the kids because it' s NIntendo :)

The 360 advertisinng campaign on just now is bound to shift loads of units - PC world are advertising the premium pack with Gears and Table Tennis for £300, I' d expect them to shift loads of them on the run up to Chrimbo.

Well if 140 million kids bought Pokémon we can all be sure that they also bought Nds and GBA.
