Microsoft isnt going to be the same without him, its going to turn into a faceless multi national company!

He said in 2008 he will start the proccess of stepping down. Which could mean anything, maybe all he means is that instead of doing like 60 hours a week he will cut it down to like 40.

I' m really hoping that Microsoft won' t fall in to the same awful buisness dealings that many other companies do, when their chairman/president/founder, steps down from at least some of their duties.

Wal-Mart- Started getting bad after Sam Walton died.
Disney- We don' t even talk about Michael Eisner here.
K-mart- It started to suck when the Kresge family lost the company.

while I' ve got high hopes for the rest of Microsoft, something tells me we wont see the end of this.
