Can I say " I told you so" about Xbox 360 outselling PS3 yet, or do I have to wait another year?

I' m a bit surprised that GTAIV sold 1.85 mil for the 360 to 1 mil for the PS3. That' s actually a bit wider margin than most cross-platform titles. But neither console seemed to see much of a big jump in sales for the month. Wii devastated both. Absolutely devastated them.

I can' t believe that people are still buying Wii play after all this time!!!

Nintendo is still getting away with this, it shows , in contrast to what so many believe , that games alone don' t sale hardware, MORE importantly, it' s how you market it with a combination of an optimal price .

The wii is showing less and less of " decent" quality titles from 3rd parties, yet it' s booming, the only company drving sales is nintendo itself (Mario kart, SSMB, Pokemon...). No place to 3rd parties.

what would this situation say to MS and sony ? how will that affect the future of the industry ?

let' s wait for the May NPD , and see how GTA will drive sales, at least we know that GTA didn' t help much if only by a mere margin , raising the hardware sales at its launch.

The third party games suck but since nintendo makes money on the hardware it doesnt really matter to nintendo ...

if we consider 3rd parties loyalties + online fees that MS gets from Live, the wii " might" not be the most profitable console, we don' t know for sure.

its the gimmick effect, a couple tries it at a friends house, then buys it at the same time their friends get bored with it

Oh Nintendo has been the most profitable by far. MS and Sony are both in the red, they' re losing money. MS is only starting to generate profit. Meanwhile Nintendo is making Billions a year with Wii and DS.
