Revolution absolutely exploding - May 19, 2005 07:34
Ok, I' m not going to say that i believe or disbelieve any of what' s happening on the web today, but news and rumors about the revolution is absolutely exploding!! I went to the gamefaqs board, something like 40 messages in 10 minutes. All kinds of whacked out rumors saying the real reveal is today, and everything else by nintendo up till this point has been a fake. Even the editors at gamespot are getting into it. If this isn' t orchestrated by Nintendo, then they are idiots, cause it should have been. It will be funny if some of the most explosive viral marketing is all a fake simply because Nintendo somewhat dissapointed it' s fans who all have amazing imaginations.

Ok, I spent some time looking for a link to this whole conspiracy theory that wasnt' from gamefaqs (I didn' t want to dirty this board)

Conspriacy Theory

ok, I don' t care if Im' the only one posting in this thread I' ll go on all day!

most interesting bit of info now has it that www.nintendoon.com is a registered url. Guess where it takes you. Straight to the video for the nintendoon at ign.

the snizzm

Why the hell would ign register a url that links straight to a vid of a fake console. Hits I guess could be one reason, I wish I' d have thought of registering it. It is interesting though that gamespy and the big N teamed up, and IGN owns gamespy.

Oh yeah, and man never landed on the moon either. fact.

at the conference the nintendogs feed had the date 19th may, rather than 17th....

pointing towards another announcement??

also the rumours of a secret booth in nintendos display...hmmm

all so interesting even if it isn' t true

As far as the Revolution is concerned, development is going really well. But at the same time, this is a trade show and we want to concentrate on our business for this year. So rather than rush out in a panic and try to get a bunch of information out to people, we want to give out some of the general concepts and we' re going to save everything else for when we' re all set. Next year, when it' s the year of the Revolution, we' ll bring out everything from under the wrapping paper.

So did the Revolution really make a stand today? I haven' t heard anything about it. I think Nintendo' s shown all it' s gonna show... EVER. They simply can' t show anymore because they might get there ideas stolen. There is a line 6 million people long who are just waiting to steal Nintendo' s ideas.

Nothing happened. There were rumors that Reggie was gonna reveal all on his interview on G4tech, but instead he said in response to why so little 3rd party support for gamecube " We' ve got Batman, and uhhhhhh...... and uhhhhhhhhh, and hey, EA' s got tonnes of games."

It was kind of funny to see him so strapped for words!

I can' t believe that people take all that stuff seriously! That' s why I just wait for official press releases. These folks obviously have waaaaay too much time on their hands (speaking of the conspiracy theorists).

I' m not a fan of leaked information, the same way I try to avoid spoilers for movies that haven' t come out yet.
