Hi all, I' m new here as you may or may not notice when you look at my amount of posts ;) After reading these forums for a long time, I thought I could as well register to post once in a while when I find the time.

Anyway, for those interested, Sega will release a new game called Ryu ga Goto Ku for PS2. You can eat in the game, go into shops, fight and improve those skills, take small jobs to earn money,... It kind of resembles another Sega game doesn' t it? It seems to be a Shenmue-like setting but with a GTA feeling...
This could turn out to be a good game of course. But as a Shenmue fan one can only feel a bit disappointed. First Sega comes with the trouble plagued Shenmue Online, now another similar looking game will be released instead of what fans want.

By the way, the main character seems to be called Ryu and is born 1968 just as a certain Ryo Hazuki :P

Yeah but gorgoyle or what they are called,who made shenmue with yu suzuki or whats his called is not making this...
but gorgoyle is gonna work for MS now.

It' s certainly not Gargoyle the " Shenmue III for Xbox360" -rumors talked about. Apparently this game was the game called Project J before.
By the way, the character is called Kiryu, not Ryu as I wrote. It' s a game about the Yakuza and the title means " Dragon-like" . It also looks like there will a baseball mini-game from a screenshot.

I imagine this will be a great game and definitely one to own. I would have preferred Shenmue 3, but I think I want to see that on the next-gen consoles instead.

Wow. That Little movie looks pretty cool! Looks like a premise similar to " The Professional" . Some badass (yakuza in this case) makes it his business to protect some little girl that has touched his heart. I wonder if it' s be any good?

Well, I think we should call Ryu ga Goto Ku by a new name, and I propose Ryo' n' Goro!

LOL that' s hilarious! Ryo and Goro tag team each other as they beat up street thugs and murder hookers!

And yeah, it' s quite ironic that many were all a bit wishing for Shenmue III too when we saw this game. Then later the same day the other news comes in about Shenmue lol
