M$ Adds Another Title To It' s ' Platinum Hits' Collection

SpongeBob goes platinum!
THQ announced today that SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft has been added to Xbox' s " Platinum Hits" collection and is now available at retailers throughout North America for the low price of $19.99.
Developed by THQ' s internal studio, Heavy Iron Studios, and based on the top-rated show on kids TV, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom originally launched in fall 2003 and has sold more than 1.25 million copies to date.
" We are thrilled with the worldwide sales success and critical acclaim of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom," said Tiffany Ternan, senior vice president, North American sales and distribution, THQ.
" Now the reduced price point of $19.99 will allow more SpongeBob fans to experience this fun and humorous interactive version of the TV show, while enjoying classic platform gameplay."
