World at War System Req's, and Other Nifty Stuff - Aug 18, 2008 00:37
I think it's written in Dutch, but the numbers speak for themselves.

  • Processor: AMD 64 3200+ of Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz+
  • Geheugen: 512MB (XP) / 1GB (Vista)
  • Vrije ruimte op de harde schijf: 8GB
  • Videokaart: nVidia 6600GT / ATI Radeon 1600XT of beter met 256MB aan geheugen
Keifer Sutherland is voicing the Marine you play in one of the campaigns. I better be able to shoot off some kneecaps in this game.

Development started in November of '06.

Upgrades such as powerful shots, mid-mag reloads on the M1 Grand and new grenade classes (Molotov cocktails) will be on offer.

Interestingly, Treyarch are pushingthe idea of a vehicle-based online mode. There will be specific mapsand Perks created just for skirmishes involving tanks, jeeps andarmoured cars. This is something of a gamble, especially consideringthe game's limited development time. It's debatable whether onlinevehicle combat will add anything to the series over being a niche sideevent.

There are still some niggles - therespawning enemies return and could ruin the new AI system, WWIIweapons simply aren't as sexy (or accurate) as modern tech and this isa return to known ground. Still, I'm glad that there was somethingunexpectedly exciting about my return to WWII.

Meh... I was worried they'd bring back the respawning enemies. That will ruin the game if they don't do something about it before launch.

Edit:

Russian gameplay footage!

"respawning enemies."

You mean as COD4's infinite enemy waves till you reach a certain point? If yes then i wont buy this game.

No, I mean Call of Duty 1 through 4's infinite enemy waves 'till you reach a certain point.

It's the series' biggest flaw, and it's been present for half a decade, without change. That bugs me.

Vehicles in multiplayer is nothing new for CoD. They'rew obviously just expanding on CoD3's online mode (which was great).

As for development time... 2 years is fine. It's what Infinity Ward had for Modern Warfare.

I like studios that have no set time, that just makes the best game that they can.

Blizzard

or

remedy with Allan Wake.

Sucky specs. My laptop could run this game... I'm pretty sure I read all of the facts up there before but I can't remember where

I doubted there was anything worth mention. The only bit I really bothered noticing was minimale systeemeisen, and the specs listed. Thanks though.
