Anyway, it does look good, and the musical score will be the epitome of excellence.
I' ll wait for a blue and true verdict on the battle system once I see some
rolling gamepla footage. I wouldn' t mindsitting watching someone else play this

Well I think that with the February 2008 release, all of the loose animation glitches
and problems should disappear as there are moments in that trailer where the
framerate looks as if it dips dangerously low to numbers like 15fps. That' s mostly when there are above 10 highly detailed characters on screen at once.

However, I was hoping for battle sequences/gameplay to look evn a fraction closer
to the first ever real taste we got of Lost Odyssey, and that was in the HighLands.

As for Quez... He' s allergic to good games, lets leave it at that.

U forgot to add BD > ALL .. Quez seems to go berserk if he doesnt see that in every post ..

Looks incredibly nice now. Nearly all framerate issues are gone and the graphical fidelity is much higher than E307. That part with the guy having his soup definitely made me sit up and watch. The detail on that character was amazing, from facial features to the tassles/jewels on his gold armor. I didn' t think it was going to look that good! Kind of suprising in a way because usually Japanese developers seem to have a tough time coming to grips with western made engines such as UE3. Lost Odyssey is looking to be a definite benchmark to beat.

Doesn' t look like there' s too much FMV footage either which is a good thing. It' s really no longer necessary. Blue Dragon annoyed me in this regard as it had so much FMV footage. Quite often I thought the in game engine put out nicer effects than what was seen in FMV.

Another suprising thing that I noticed was the lip synching. It looks as if they' re tailoring the lip synching to the English language, rather than Japanese (which is what we usually see). The synching certainly doesn' t fit what was on screen for the Japanese language, and I could almost lip read certain english words at times. Could this mean we get a superior version to the Japanese one? Something to ponder I guess. I prefer Kaim' s English voice now that I' ve heard both anyway.

Can' t wait till it' s out (early next year?).

They' ve had some people from Epic in helping to optimize the engine, just like Ubisoft Montreal did when they were finishing up Vegas on 360, and Microsoft set up Feel Plus to work in conjunction with Mistwalker so they could aid them from a hardware perspective.

It looks like it' s all coming together nicely :)

Well UE3.0 incorporates OC3 Entertainment' s faceFX facial animation technology, but while it is meant to generate a realistic animation from an audio file in any language, the best results are reached when using text files, and currently only English is supported.

And yeah, the game' s out in February

This game looks like it is going to be outstanding. I agree with UnluckyOne, that it does already look a lot nicer than I had expected, especially the Gryphon at the end.
