E3 favorites - May 23, 2004 12:38
What were some of your favorite game of E3? If I would narrow it down to 3, they would be; Halo 2, for obvious reasons, multiplayer was very impressive and detailed, Fable, huge world an tons of things to do and pathes to take, and finally Gran turismo 4, detailed environments, chrowd moves when car gets near them, more cars, new levels. Overall, how do you think E3 2004 was? A good year for video games? Thoughts on E3?

I had fun following E3 this year, since I really never have much. All in all I think their may have been too many sequels but I still enjoyed what I saw. Games I thought looked cool from E3 were: Half Life 2, Halo 2, Resident Evil 4, God of War,Dreamfall,Burnout 3, Rome: Total War Mortal Kombat: Deception, among others that I can' t think of right now.
I' ve also been impressed with Capcom more lately with games like steel batallion, viewtiful joe, shadow of rome, killer 7, okami just looks gorgeous....and its cool how they are revamping the resident evil series.
I also enjoyed watching a lot of the new game trailers that came out of E3, if any form of advertising works on me its trailers for movies and games

I could ramble on forever, so I' ll just say: I give E3 two thumbs up.

I like Terry' s. He has really unique tastes, and that' s rare to find in today' s gaming world. So many people are so caught up in the hype of major mainstream games that they overlook too many fresh and original titles. We may have just about the EXACT opposite when it comes to taste in games, but I still respect it.

As for me, I think GT 4 was best in show. Behind that, I liked DMC 3, Splinter Cell 3, MGS 3, Halo 2, FF XII, Fable, GTA: SA. The new Zelda looked pretty decent, too.

As for upcoming purchases for me, Onimusha 3 next weekend, followed by Front Mission 4 on June 16.

Hey fathoms,

is there a nice long splinter cell 3 movie somewhere? People seem to be raving about this game and I' m just not seeing anything thats floored me about it from the brief gameplay videos I' ve seen. I' m a fan, but I feel like I' m missing something.

I' d go to GameSpot. For a site that gave Splinter Cell 3 its coveted " Game of Show" award, there' s definitely some coverage for the game.

Star Ocean 3 and Suikoden IV...can' t wait for those either.

I just got the playable demo of Front Mission 4 (due out 06/16) ' cuz I preordered it. Haven' t gotten a chance to play yet, but if it' s anything like FM 3, I KNOW it' s gonna rule.

Paper mario 2 was very imprssive, the best mario series (IMO) was paper mario. Also, that donkey kong beat game, with drums, looks pretty cool. Resident evil 4 too.
