REDMOND, Wash. — Aug. 9, 2007 — As the countdown continues for the entertainment event of the year — the launch of “Halo® 3” — the video game continues to set records and establish new precedents for an entertainment launch. Today, Microsoft Corp. announced that preorders in North America for the exclusive Xbox 360™ title have exceeded the 1 million milestone. In addition, Microsoft unveiled the first exciting details of upcoming promotions from leading consumer brands, including Mountain Dew, 7-Eleven, Pontiac, Comcast and Burger King Corp.

On a side note, i just preordered the game aswell today! So can be ready for septemper 25th :)

Exciting and promotions shouldn' t be in the same sentence, lol.




Game Fuel will come in 20-ounce bottles, 2-liter bottles and 12-packs of 12-ounce cans and will be available nationwide for a limited time starting Aug. 13, 2007.


Umm...it' s in stores now. Has been for about a week or so.


I didn' t bother pre-ordering. There' s going to be plenty available. It' s not like the game is a limited release or anything.

In comparison, Halo 2 had 1.5 million pre-orders worldwide a fortnight before release.

1 million now, in the US alone, is seriously impressive.

In denmark with releases like this there is no chance of getting it on the release if you dont preorder!

I' ve never preordered any games. Never had any problems getting them on the first day, either. I think preordering is something that mainly benefits the retailers and publishers, but they' ve brainwashed gamers into thinking it' s vital!

I always preorder, and when i didnt preorder Ghost Reckon 2, i had to go to 10 stores to find it.

I cant see why it isnt a benefit for the consumer to know that you have a copy waiting for you, either via the mail or in a store, which no one else can pick up and buy.

Did anyone remember the GRAW2 pre-order bonus?

You got a bad rifle aka FAMAS,awesome right!!!

And btw all you had to do was like write famas in a menu to get it.
OMG!!

ps! everyone ojn XBL who unlocked it use like 20 diffrent rfiles over it anydays anyway.

So fucking stupid gift.

halo had, as nitro stated, 1,5 million preorders they day before release, Halo 3 has 1 million, in the US alone more than a month before release!

Who says we' re not allowed to post sales figures here? I know a couple of people have spoken up and said that they don' t like sales figures threads, but I don' t give a damn whether they like them or not, I happen to find them interesting.

I have the opposite problem. I bought way to many games that I probably shouldn' t have.

who wants the Helmet? seriously, look on ebay like 10mins after the game is out and buy it at half the price.
