your opinion on gaming websites

What does everyone think of sites like Jak X where you have to collect stuff to unlock content? Personally I think that most of them are unnecessary cos you just want to get information about a game, but some of them can be cool www.jakx-game.com

Iv never found official game sites to useful in anyway, except to hint stuff like the new splintercell site, and the teasing for Sin Episodes was nicely done. i dont want to play games, i turn to sites like Kikizo or IGN to give me the indepth info i need about the games. And i use Bluesnews to help me find out about new titles, movies, screenshots reviews, and other details.
All in all official sites suck!
