$499 USD was the price for the MGS Bundle pack last month (80GB + MGS4)
If it is the same price for the Uncharted Bundle it is a good deal. I should have waited till Christmas and Pick this up.
Even though the HD can be easily swapped.

How is that a good deal? You could get the 40GB(soon to be 60) for $400, Uncharted for like $40, and then swap the HD for one around 400GB for less than $70. I thought Sony would try to gimp the PS3 and call it a new model to so they could drop the price to compete with the 360 and Wii.

They did gimp it. No BC, no wireless, etc.

Comparing to what i bought last month to the next few months i would have paid the same price for 80 GB more. Then i could have bought the older games at Greatest Hits prices. MGS, GTA4 on recent games have already been dropped in prices on amazon. I would have saved hundreds, seriously. mastachefbkw you said Uncharted is that $40 USD or £40? Cause they still sell it for 59.99 USD and amazon has a $5 off. Im going to upgrade my ps3 with a 320gb hard drive, cheap as chips and internal, no messy external harddrives for me!
but what to do with the old 60gb hdd?
