This site has already one of the first FIFA09 tests. The game got a unbelievable good rating for me as a pes fan ;).

Konami have dropped the ball and done nothing to improve the franchise over the past 3 incarnations. In fact they dropped some of the most popular aspects (master league etc.)

Fifa will more than likely not be any better however on playing both the Demo's and I repeat both 'Demo's' I would suggest that Fifa will be the better of the two (the lesser of 2 evils as it were.)

LIGHTSYEARS above any of the other versions.. can never go back to playing foottball games on a pad ever again.

I totally agree with everyone that FIFA has really upped their game, and Konami haven't done anything recently to improve PES. While FIFA has official teams, looks, sounds, and is presented almost infinitely better than PES, when it comes down to gameplay PES is still the master.  I do have major issues with 2008 though.  Its totally knackered online play is the biggest one.  Konami forcing you to sign up and make another UserID is a nonsense too, but how can it still be so unworkable playing with people you know over decent connections a year down the line?  PES2006 over Xbox Live was fine! Morons.

I haven't downloaded either demo yet for 2009 but I'm sure I'll get a healthy amount of time with both.
