Gamepro Expo renamed E for All Expo would be the proper title...it is not E3 that was renamed...and it isn' t THE E for All Expo. It stands for Entertainment for All Expo. So yeah, not a bad name considering it sounds like it will be a lot more open compared to E3.

Just looked at it even the release doesn' t refute my claims. I just read the news off Gamespot.com

" In November, trade show producers IDG World Expo announced that it would be holding a contest to name its upcoming gaming convention, originally dubbed GamePro Expo. The group received more than 3,000 submissions from contestants, all vying for the grand prize of winning a trip to the show.

Less than two months later, we have a winner.

California resident Dante Padre submitted the winning entry, " Entertainment for All Expo," and will win a trip to Los Angeles to attend the show, which runs October 18-20. As the Electronic Entertainment Expo was typically shortened to E3, the Entertainment for All Expo will be known as E for All Expo.

" This show seems to be about inviting everyone to participate; they even asked gamers to create the name," said Padre on his winning entry.

The consumer event will be open to the public and held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. IDG is currently working on the show' s program, which it expects to include tournaments, a job fair, " family-friendly offerings," and the Video Games Live concert. For more information, visit the show' s official Web site. "

Edit: Like the layout of the website as well, reminiscent of E3' s.

The nice thing is the company I currently work for is now paying for all of my trips to the conventions (that includes airfare, hotel, parties, travel, food, etc...). I win.

No. This is a completely different show. Nothing to do with E3.

If I remember correctly, the E3 we knew and loved will be a much smaller and more private affair - closed off to most of the general public.

This ' Game Pro' show is something else.

But if the Gamepro show was something else, and it' s Gamepro saying it' s the replacement to E3, then Gamepro are lying and trying make this show seem to be more than it actually is?!

NOTE: Title edited.

Honestly I have no idea why Gamepro is making those E3 follow-up claims.. Though, if their show is going to take place at the LA Convention Center I can see why they' d try and capitalize off of the E3 name and label their show as a replacement/follow-up...

The E3 that we' ve all known and loved in the past will no longer be located in a single spot like previous shows took place in the Convention Center.. At least, that' s according to old data..
