Xbox DVD uni. remote code??

At my cabin we have DSL and it came with a universal remote. So one time i bring up the xbox and realize i forgot its remote, and wanting to watch a DVD i had just rented i tried the universal remote that came with the DSL. and it worked!
So when i got home out of curiosity i tried my other universal remote for it, but it didnt work :( so i figure i just need to program the remote, but in order to do that i need to know what company the xbox used for its DVD thing...does ne1 know?

I know I' m interested. The X Box DVD remote costs $52.99 Canadian... lucky I didn' t buy it. Now I' m just going to get a universal remote... for $9.99!

i just thougth of somin liek when you program a remote, you knwo when the code worked when the unit turns off...but you cant turn off the xbox thru remote... Thit may be a lil problem but probabyl somin that can be solved easily
