Castlevania: SotN has the best soundtrack in history, and there are several awesome songs (orchestral) on there. FF VII also has some of the best music ever as well.

Has anyone listen to the music in the current Prince of Persia 2 trailer? It' s kind of Arabian meets head banging rock. I like it -- can' t get it out of my head.

Terry Bogart listed many of my favs. Castlevania Symphony of da NIght was 100% sythesizer, BTW. It just sounded orchestral. Obviously the choir was real. One of my favorites as well!

Nights and Burning Rangers. I have no idea where the Spnic Team got the people to do the music but it' s soo kind of cheesy that it works. The singing in Christmas Nights was actually better (as it was sung by adults in the Christmas version rather than kids). Anyone remember the music for Sonic R. Eek! I' ll agree with Shenmue music... it' s not my usual taste but it works so well As for Sonic Adventure, I' m not too sure. Bar the main theme for the game most of the music is really poor. SA2 has the best music of current Sonic games (I Am The Eggman!) though Team Chaorix theme in Sonic Heroes is ace.

Castlevania Symphony of da NIght was 100% sythesizer, BTW. It just sounded orchestral. Obviously the choir was real. One of my favorites as well! Whether it was synthesized or not, it was still orchestral in nature. Synthesizers simply recreate pieces of music; the music in the game is defined as " Orchestral."

Personally I enjoyed the music in the original Sonic Adventure alot more than the other next-gen Sonic games.. I felt Jun Senoue did a darn good job with themes like: Speed Highway: At Dawn Pleasure Castle Dilapidated Way Lost World NiGHTS theme Tails' theme Theme of E-102 And a few more that escape me at the moment. For me, the only REAL stand out theme in Sonic Adventure 2 was the Escape from the City theme.. " Follow me, set me free, trust me and we will escape from the city." - the rest of the soundtrack just didn' t have catchy melodies like that of the original so the Escape song was the only one I recorded to disc so I could listen to while on the go.

Terry, I agree there... Escape From The City was ace. I' ve always been a big Eggman fan though and for him to get a song as cool as I Am The Eggman still brings a smile to my face. The best music in Sonic games has always been the boss music ^_^ Some of the characters themes in SA I thought were a little lackluster, as were some of the music in the levels. Who did the music for Sonic R? I don' t know if I want to shake his hand or shoot him.

Richard Jaques did the music for Sonic R. I shared a few e-mails with him. He said that the vocals were most definitely NOT his idea. But Sonic R at least includes the option to turn the vocals on or off. When they are off, it' s great stuff! Richard also did some cool music for Sonic 3D Blast (Saturn version) and contributed to Jet Set Radio and Jet Set Radio Future.

That song makes Celine Dion sound GOOD. And she does not, in any sense, sound good. That song is ass, unless you like ass music. :)
