If you were stranded on a desert island...

...and you miraculously had electricity and an entertainment setup, and you find three consoles and five games for each stuffed in a locker buried under the sand of the beach. What do you MOST want those games and systems to be? Handheld systems count, and yes, PC counts, but you don' t have online access! If you select PS2, you can pick 8 games, but at least three have to be PSOne games. Otherwise, just select the normal 5. What I want to find: SNES: Super Metroid Final Fantasy VI Madden ' 96 The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Super Mario Kart PS2: Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Gran Turismo 3 Final Fantasy Tactics Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Hot Shots Golf 3 Final Fantasy VII Madden 2004 Gitaroo-Man (just because it would take me a lifetime to master) GameBoy Advance: Tetris Super Mario World 2 Super Mario Land Tecmo Bowl Metroid II: Return of Samus

How about 5 arcade cabinets?? ;) If I' m allowed arcade games: ARCADE 1-Metamorphic Force (Konami' s Altered Beast rip-off that actually turned out MUCH better) 2- Daytona USA 2: Battle On the Edge 3- WWF Superstars (My personal pick as the best WWF/WWE game EVER created) 4- Salamander 2 (Definitely one of my top 4 favorite shooters) 5- SPACE HARRIER Honorable mentions: G.I. JOE: The Arcade game, 3 Wonders, Magician Lord. SEGA SATURN 1. Panzer Dragoon 2. Astal 3. Salamander 2 4. Striker 1945 II 5. Clockwork Knight Collection SEGA MASTER SYSTEM 1. Alex Kidd in Miracle World 2. Wonderboy 3. Wonderboy 3: The Dragon' s Trap 4. Zillion (I' ll also need lots of paper and pencils with this game) 5. Zillion II These are games I can think of offhand, I' ll likely edit the list later.

I know what I would want and it' s not for you to know. All you need to know is that I' d put them in my invisible back-pack with infinite storage and sell them as soon as I got off that island. One way or another...I' d get off that island.....if I had to rape Flipper and get in good with his buddies, I would. There' s nothing wrong with flogging the dolphin.

Wonder Boy in Monster Land is better than Wonder Boy, Terry. Don' t make me harm you. I' d want an N-Gage, because of course there would be a cell phone tower on the island (just like every desert island) so I could call for help. In all honesty I' d probably get sick of videogames really quick and just go insane since that would be more entertaining.

Very good point, Joe. Insanity has its ups and downs, though. For instance, you might be sitting there looking at the water, twitching and grabbing another handful of hair to eat when you look at what' s in your hand and realize you should be eating sand because eating hair is just silly. After that you try to climb the coconut tree so you can tell the nasty guy with the net that you' re one monkey he' s not going to catch way up there. You' d also realize that coconuts are a valuable tool for pretending you have large testicles.

Once you tell the Coast Guard you' re calling from an N-Gage they' re just going to laugh and hang up. " Calling from your N-Gage! Hahahaha!!! Kid don' t bother us with your crank calls. Everyone knows no one would use the N-Gage as a cell phone!"

LOL Okay, let me revise: there' s no way of the island EVER. You' re stuck for good. No dolphin that just made your day is going to help, you don' t have online access, and a cell phone signal is zero. Got it? Terry: I don' t know about five arcade games...but I guess I can let you have them. Not sure how they fit in that chest under the sand, though.

Uncle Ben, I' d just swim for it. Terry Bradshaw, Wonder Boy in Monster Land is the direct prequel to Wonder Boy III: Teh Draginz TrapXorz. Both games take the same amount of time to get into. Wonder Boy III is much longer though. Wonder Boy 1 repeates the same stages (and music... arrrggg!) again and again. That game should only be had for collector' s value.

I think the point might be to have something to pass the time with while you' re stuck on that island. Of course if you' re starving to death playing games won' t help you there but it may temporarily take your mind off of the idea that your stomach acids will eventually eat away at your insides and you' ll become a rotting flesh of a button masher Once you start to REALLY starve to death then things may become interesting with the games you have with you on that island as things may take a turn for the worst and become like Agatha Christie' s " Ten Little Indians" story in which you start off with many games on the island but in the end only one is left and then none. Out of desperation, one by one you eat your games and consoles, starting with the least important ones and eventually ending with the more important ones. Backing up your digestive track with game manuals, boxes, and discs ;)

If there are videogames, a system, and magic electricity on the island, then that means someone has been there before, and will return soon to rescue me and give me many beautiful women! If the games you were stuck with were super rare and worth a ton on eBay, like Radiant Silvergun, Tengen Tetris, Dracula X for PC Engine, etc. Would you still eat them?

I wouldn' t. By the time I was that desperate, I probably would be toothless from eating sand. And as for my answer to the question PS2: Guilty Gear X2 Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution Final Fantasy X Champions of Norrath Xenosaga Metal Gear Solid Final Fantasy Tactics Romance of the Three Kingdoms VI (if only because all the time on the island would give me the chance to actually learn the game) Super NES: Chrono Trigger Super Metroid Aerobiz Supersonic Street Fighter 2 Turbo Super Mario All-Stars (Ha! It' s on one cartridge, so it works! I have defeated thee!) Dreamcast: Shenmue Skies of Arcadia Crazy Taxi Soul Calibur Marvel vs. Capcom 2

Idekii: Damnit, taking SM: All-Stars is cheating. I should' ve thought of it. Gossi: Alundra rules, and so does SO 2 and Suikoden II. FF IX was awesome (although very much behind VII and VIII, IMO), and CV: SotN is very simply one of the best ever. Btw, did you get all 50 Gilded Falcons in Alundra? I' m hoping you got to see the wonder that is the Spirit Wand...
