My god how bizarre it looks! It looks to have parts not just in the original movie but from the book as well.

I wonder why they changed the name?

Sure hope they do this re-make right...it would be nice to see an updated version of the Willie Wonka Choclate Factory movie.

Thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou!!! I' ve been waiting to see a preview of this. After watching it though, I gotta say I hope the movie is a little darker. That preview just made it look silly, and both the book and the original movie have some very much darker elements to them. As to the reason why they changed the name...... They didn' t. I' m not joking, that' s what it' s called.

That looks like an incredibly stupid movie, but since it is Tim Burton the visuals will probably be really cool. I hated Willy Wonka starring Gene Wilder. Even as a kid I thought it was too " kiddy" . And the sight of all that candy makes me want to puke.

It may have just been me but it looked like a biography of Michael Jackson...at least the preview I watched did.

I' ve always thought that the original' s name, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, sounded more like a porno.

That' s one hell of a scary image.

this is most def gonna be darker than the first one. this is Tim Burton, the king of dark and unusual. i loved that trailer bc it tweaked me out. cant wait to see more.

No kidding....thats a frightening image....even more deranged looking oompa loompas. anyone notice that granpda joe seemed a bit out there as well.

I don' t know about the darker bit. I certainly hope so, but that preview was anything but dark. Johnny Depp looked like he was on freakin Sesame Street. The original movie, in the scene where they' re all on the boat, and Gene Wilder is just talking louder and louder, and all those images in the background of the rotting animals and stuff, now that' s dark. I hope they have a very similar scene in this movie.

Me and my sister agree, Johnny Depp looks like a lass there; Nothing like his character from Pirates of The Caribbean where she thought he looked " Dead Sexy" . It' s hard to judge what the movie is going to be like at the moment. I' m just hoping it won' t be too kiddie, like Joe said. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp usually make for a great combo though so I' ve faith they' ll come up with the goods.

This is however put in the kids section for the genre listings. So I dont expect a mature style for this one. Still I do hope to see some very very bizarre imagery. Big Fish wasnt a very dark movie but it was still a great flick fomr Tim Burton.

I' ll concede on the Big Fish point. That is true...not terribly dark....but DEF burton-esque. and you know this....man. this looks like creepy dark. like it could only happen in a weird dream, kinda dark. ya kno?

O I think the movie will be cool. Its just not dark, however your dreamlike statement definatly fits it. Or maybe even drug induced ride...not thatd i know...

No matter what I' m gonna definatly see it, cant turn down a Burton or Depp flick no matter what.
