Plantronics, creator of the Xbox Live headset controller, said it would introduce a custom, high-end headset for the upcoming release of Halo 2. The officially licensed GameCom Halo 2 Edition headset is branded with the Halo 2 name and logo, and it will feature an optimized speaker, a noise-canceling microphone, and " custom fit." It ships to retail in October 2004, at an MSRP of $49.99.

do you think this will be included in the platinum edition of halo 2? i think that would make a lot of sense. seeing as bungie says all this about a very worthwhile extra will be added with it.

I hope so...that' s what I' ve got on reserve. I doubt it though...they could throw it in there and not tell us but I' m not going to get my hopes up. I' ll have the 100 bucks ready when November 2nd comes around to throw down on the game and the headset. My first semester in college will nearly be over with so I' ll have a nice 4 weeks of vacation to break that bad boy in.

If nothing bad happens before November 11th, I will have enough time saved up to take the 9th, 10th, and the 12th off (the 11th is a government holiday).

So, I will actually get to play from Wednesday morning through Sunday evening, or 5 days straight...that' s if I do not have to work my other job...

I' d like to pick up this headset but it' s a bit pricey and I already have my original headet. I' ll have to think about it.
