Isn' t the fact that they ARE issuing it now more interesting than why. I mean, if they' re announcing the price now, what are they announcing at the 3 press conferences?!

Announcing the price and date now allows for official pre-orders in stores to begin. TGS runs from 20-25th September so that would be a little late to announce the prices and dates and they' d risk being overlooked.

The press conferences could very well be region specific launch and price, accessory, launch lineup confirmations but something tells me there' s more to it.

Why can that only be found on the wiisource page and not IGN' s main Wii page?
And why does an article on wiisource look like an IGN article? And if the two sites are cooperating, why does neither of them have the news on the start page?
Anyway, October 3rd and $219 is nice isn' t it?

that' s strange - it' s on some site that' s hosted by IGN , but not on IGN itself.

But then it didn' t make sense to get info from a press conference (that I never heard would take place) on a HOLIDAY... on a site hosted by wiisource that looks like IGN. With such little information... when no other sites have mentioned it...
